Twisted Stripe Long Sleeve Shirtdress

The stress was cut along the shoulder area sort of small. When you move your arms in, it seemed like the seams would pop. Now with that said I won’t take away that it was well-made. And the arms were cut large in the bicep. It is hard for me to find a dress that has nice generous arms. I will return the dress because it is cut too small along the shoulder, back area. I can’t remember the way the sizing was, 2X or either an 18 W, that is what I am. I will say that it fit in the body generously along the hip area.

Love the dress, very flattering with a simple look. It’s a little tight in the shoulders and across the back. I just have to be careful taking it off otherwise it’ll rip for sure. I started to return bc of that but I really like it. I’ll figure it out or get my mouth wired shut for a month! LOL. If I get a larger size, it’ll be too big.

I puchased this dress in the black/white pinstripe. and when it arrived about two months ago (I purchased online), I tried it on and loved it. When I put it on this morning about 7:15 a.m., I still loved it. It's now 11:27 a.m. and I'm writing this review while the dress is already in a mailer to be returned. The problem, in my opinion, is just a poorly executed design. I'm 5'6" and a size 22/24, proportionate but a bit of an hourglass. The dress looked and fit great when I was standing. Sitting, on the other hand, caused the buttons to gap. Also, not nearly as big of an issue, the material is unlined and fairly thin. This dress would be much better if the buttons from the waist down were ornamental so the dress wouldn't gap. I could very well be wrong, but this dress strikes me as one that was designed by someone who is not plus-size and may not even know any plus-size women. Again, kudos to the designer for the look of the dress. The "fail" is on the execution!
