Kaiden Embroidered Tie Belt Maxi Wrap Sundress

Love Ciebon, a company proudly owned and operated by Pacific Islander women. My closet is full of their extremely well-crafted dresses. A lot of their products can feel overwhelming in terms of excess material / ‘puff’ factor particularly for petite ladies. I totally get it. I’m 5’2 with a pretty much nonexistent torso. And yeah putting this dress on straight from the box looked terrible, or rather I looked lost / swimming in all that material around the waist. BUT the trick I’ve found for us petite girlies to use with this dress and other similar styles by Ciebon comes down to the belt. Pull it out. All their fabric belts start at the back and wrap towards the front to be tied. Instead you want to thread the belt starting at the front center or at the sides (depending on the dress) and then pull / cinch towards the back. You can choose to tie the bow in the back or as their belts are often nice and long, simply cinch and cross in the back and then wrap towards the front, tying the bow on the side or front. Trust me when I say you’ll laugh at the night and day difference it makes. Followed by a ‘wow, ok, yeah this looks really nice!’ And don’t be afraid to play around with the belt. Cinch, pull, and tie in diff ways til you achieve that perfect fit, Ciebon only uses high quality materials which arent going to tear from a little cinching abuse.

This dress is stunning, really lovely vivid embroidery and soft fabric. I'm 5'4 and about 140 pounds, and the amount of fabric was overwhelming for my frame. The sash is quite wide and overall, it feels like it was designed for someone with a taller, more statuesque frame. I'm sad to return it as it really is lovely, but it doesn't work well for me.
