Faux Wrap Midi Dress

The other two reviews on here are describing a different dress. I wish Nordstrom would do something about the constant fake reviews. Anyway, 5’5 and a size 12 in every brand. I tend to be in between M and L for Chelsea28 dresses & tops and this one was no exception. The M was just slightly tight but the L was very loose. It was at least two sizes to hit, similar to a size 16. There was a ton of access fabric under the arms. I was pretty surprised as I am already a 38D/40C. Also, the waist was too high. It didn’t hit at the smallest part of the waist which was unflattering, kind of like an empire waist. Sadly I returned both!

This red dress is prettier in-person. It has good coverage over the bodice, the spaghetti straps are adjustable the color is prettier in-person and the fabric drapes nicely. It is not too form fitting. The dress can be worn for casual or more formal occasions, and year-round.

I rarely get alterations, but this dress needed it bc it is too pretty and flattering to not buy! The small was too snug across my ribcage (where the waist hits) and the medium was a bit too loose. Even after adjusting the straps, the seams just under the armpits gapped a lot and needed to be taken in. (I'm a 34DD, so it's not a lack of filler, if that helps.) I decided I needed a small-and-a-half, lol! Perhaps numerical sizing would be better for this dress than S-M-L options.

I bought this to wear to a wedding (during the brief period of time my state lifted covid restrictions this summer) and it was perfect! I’m a size 12 with 34DD bust and the size L nipped in at the waist but left plenty of room for dancing and didn’t show my strapless bra. My only complaint is the snap closure at the bust would pop loose easily- I’m planning to see if I can have it swapped out for a tiny hook and eye clasp.

I usually wear a size 2. This dress was size XS, 0-2. I couldn’t even get the zipper close to closing. The size S was too big in the bodice.

I really love this dress - the wrap style is very flattering, and the material feels high quality. It fits TTS - I generally wear a size 4/small and this is just right. It is slightly longer than it appears on the model; I am 5’5” and the back comes down close to my ankles.
