Cheek Gelée Happy Hydrating Gel-Cream Blush

Both Happy and Vibrant have way more orange in them than the online swatches show. Happy is light enough that I *think* I can still carry it off even though I look better in cool tones. But Vibrant was just too dark on me—kinda clownish...

I absolutely loved the color that this cream blush gave me. It awakened my cheeks and could be built up to a vibrant very pink. However it did not sit right over my foundation. It blends well, but stays with a patchy, drier finish than I was hoping for. I wanted to love it and debated keeping it but I know I would always be checking it in natural light for "holes" and patchy breakup. It was quite strange how no matter how much I added to the areas that seemed to look lighter (I'm calling them the holes) it would not blend into a homogeneous looking finish. I think this would work on skin with no discoloration or sun damage, a foundation free canvas, and if you don't mind having imperfectly blended blush. I also thought my cheeks would stay hydrated and glowy but the skin quickly drank up the hydration and did not look dew (I did use CT magic cream before my foundation). The color is perfect though for that "ingenue" romantic makeup look. I would say try it. Even though it did not work on my skin, it is worth trying on a different canvas!

I will never use powder blush again! The Gel-Cream Blush goes on so well and never goes on thick. Just a natural "blush" to your cheeks. Can't wait to try something else from Chantecaille. I love your product. You have a winner here. Oh the best part, it stays on all day and you can even use this without any makeup and looks like you just have a hint of the sun.

Can't recommend the shade Happy enough - it's a warm pick-me-up that blends quickly and beautifully on my fair (aging) skin. A little goes a long way so I feel like I'll have this tube for ages. Vibrant, sadly, is just too much color for me, but should look gorgeous on darker skin tones.

Looks natural Looks very natural for mature age

I love this product. Very easy to apply with fingers. I use more per application than other, more pigmented cream blushers, but there is a lot in the tube. I have no issue blending it in (one reviewer said it went on patchy on her, but we are all so different). Chantecaille products are hit and miss with me but this one is a hit. I like that the brand does not test on animals an donates to charitable causes too. For reference, I am medium fair with ash blond hair. I don't know if this would show up well on darker skin. You have to try it. Definitely more of a flushed look than an obvious blush.
