Check Sleeveless Stretch Organic Cotton Lantern Maxi Dress

I ordered this dress to lighten up my summer wardrobe of classic linen pieces and it definitely adds a bit of fun as I had hoped. I love the lantern hem! Ordering on-line can be challenging and reading the description and closely examining the photos still might not give you the full picture. I was surprised that "cotton pucker check" actually meant seersucker. Surprised, but not disappointed as it's a great summer staple fabric. I didn't give this dress full marks, however, because of the fit. I do understand that every piece isn't going to fit every body. We're all too different. I ordered my usual size (1X) and will have to have it tailored so that the straps don't fall off my shoulders despite the adjustment available for them and that it doesn't gape at the front princess seams. But, other than hemming pants, this is the first Eileen Fisher item I will have to have altered to fit and once that's done it's going to be in heavy rotation this summer.
