Floral Eyelet Flutter Sleeve Cotton Poplin Blouse

I was interested in this top until it arrived in fabric that is different than shown. The fabric in the listing shows dainty floral eyelets spaced with large areas of solid fabric between the flowers. I was optimistic the the fabric shown would give modest coverage with a little feminine flair. But the top that arrived has huge eyelet flowers spaced closely together, as shown in the photo. The fabric isn't as pretty and you can see EVERYTHING through the huge eyelet holes. A big miss and back it goes.

I ordered the Large for some unknown reason as I’m in between L and M, leaning M. Anyway, the L was flattering and I will buy it if the M that I just now ordered, but have not tried on, is too small. I am an apple shape, and this is flattering from the front. It is a little airy in the front, so from the side it looks billowy and expands my silhouette. I suspect the M will be flowy enough to be flattering (i.e., not cling to my stomach) but not being so loose. The sleeves counter my stomach, which is great! Sit also is a nice length, not so long that you have to tuck it in, but you could. I agree with the reviewer that flowers on it are much bigger in person than they appear in these pics. I still like it however. Since I’ll be wearing the blue, I’ll wear a navy blue tank under it to de-emphasize them a little, but if you like the larger, you could definitely play them up with a lighter colored tank.
