What it is: A highly effective, lightweight, oil-free, mattifying fluid sunscreen infused with soothing botanicals that creates an invisible shield to offer ultimate anti-aging protection.

What it does: The SPF contains stabilized sun filters that block both UVA and UVB rays. It's formulated with cherry blossom, lemon balm and white tea extract, which have antioxidant and soothing properties; carnosine, which helps promote a more firm and toned appearance and helps soften the look of wrinkles; and a blend of three highly effective, nonpenetrating sunscreens that create an SPF to help increase UVA/UVB protection by 45 times.
How to use: Shake well before use. Can be worn alone over moisturizer as a daily sunshield, or under foundation as a protective smoothing primer.

Very impressed, highly recommended
When it comes to make-up, I am a minimalist. Tinted moisturizers are my go-to (most BB creams are a little too think for me). But ever since I moved to Texas, I have been looking for a good day cream with extra SPF for my face. I have tried many brands before - Dior, Shiseido,Clinique, Philosophy... Chantecaille is the only one that is non-greasy and doesn't make me feel like I have a layer of "stuff" on my face. (plus, it's SPF 50)
The Chantecaille sunscreen/primer is a serum. It spreads evenly on my skin very easily and have a very light floral scent, which I like. Because it is a serum, my skin feels nourished. It is also an excellent primer, as it keeps my make-up on all day & prevent my T-zone from getting oily (which is saying a lot as I live in Houston); it gives me a very natural make-up look.
The price might seem a little more pricey than other sunscreens, but trust me, a little goes a long way, and you will not regret this purchase. I would consider getting Chantecaille's sunscreen powder to go with this purchase.

I purchased this not realizing it contained oxybenzone, which is a NO-NO chemical. I only purchase & use mineral/physical sunscreens. I returned due to this chemical in the primer.

Oily, watery, and hurt eyes
I purchased the product as it was introduced as oil-free. In reality it's more oily than any other sunscreen that i have used. It runs watery, and you need to shake before you use it (so the tube container does not make sense). Most importantly, even for someone who don't have sensitive eyes, it hurts my eyes when applied on cheeks and makes my eyes shed tears. Do not recommend.

One of My Must Have Items
I've been using Chantecaille for about 2 years and this is an item that I can't do without. After trying many primers, this is the one is without a doubt the best and I love the natural ingredients - plus the added benefit of the SPF 50. A high end product that's worth every penny. It's also important, and very helpful, that the Chantecaille representative is so knowledgeable about the product line.

A must have!
I just took this on my beach vacation and fell in love! First, I have oily skin which is tough to control especially at the beach. This primer went on smooth and non-greasy. As the day went on it developed almost a "baby powder" feel and my face was not shiny! I did not use make up at first to see how it would wear. Later while using it under makeup I got the same results. I am hooked and will make sure I always have a tube on hand!! Thanks Chantecaille!
