too much tuberose
I returned this fragrance. I adore Chantecaille Tiare and the description of Petales tempted me to give it a try. It was way too strong tuberose and violet, and over the course of an hour or so I just couldn't stand the smell.
Of course, fragrance is highly individual, and what smells lovely on one person can be awful on another. This was definitely not for me; I'll stick with the soft creamy floral of Tiare.

More Gardenia than Gardenia Passion!
I was going to say flagship, but it’s hard
to come up with a flagship, because tbh
ANY of their fine fumes can qualify as a
flahship ... especially this & Kalimantan,
And of course The gorgeous (ORANGE!)
Frangipani (drools) with their respective
croc embossed travel cases... excellent.
The bottles... The names... mmm bliss...
I love that they don’t have hundreds too.
Just a few. I’d love to try Oud Fume and
Rose Darby A. S. A. P. (I didn’t like Wild).
With all this said, Chantecaile’s Petales is
more Gardenia than “ Gardenia Passion “

I was so pleased to find this, it is a beautiful scent and a floral that actually does last. I purchased another bottle for a dear friend and she feel in love with it also. You smell the gardenia which is a favorite for me. I’ve searched for a replacement for Chanel Gardenia which I love but lasts all of 5 seconds on my skin. If you are looking for something elegant but still suitable for daytime wear, soft, pretty and floral without being overly sweet, try this scent!

Holy Grail of Gardenia
Beautiful scent! If you love white florals and gardenia this is one of the best! I have been on the hunt for years for a good gardenia and this is beautiful. Soft, creamy with a complex dry down that remains earthy but not pungent. Silage is quite light and could be stronger as could the longevity, but my hope is they will add a body cream to this gorgeous parfum which will increase its staying power.
