Formula change
I have been buying these over many years and while they are very expensive but it was a delightful treat. I have skipped the past couple of releases because there were fewer lighter refreshing shades available with recent releases. I just got the Desert Lily shade and it is still deeper than I expected but besides that I have noticed that the formula has changed. It became thinner and the slight delightful vanilla fragrance was removed. I mainly miss the availability of lighter refreshing shades and the mild vanilla fragrance, the thinner texture feels great, not so thin that it spreads everywhere, it does stay in place.

gorgeous
I was initially hesitant to purchase because the collection is warm and looks to pull orangish. Decided to try Acacia anyway and I’m ever so glad I did. It’s a beautiful color that I can wear daily. Not too brown or orange for my fair complexion (brunette, hazel eyes). If you’re in the fence for the same reasons, do it! It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Perfect for no make-up make-up days
Described as a peachy nude, Wild Senna adds the subtlest amount of pigment and shine. The effect is completely natural, but better. And it's hydrating. And, as ever with Chantecaille products, the packaging is fabulous and a thing of beauty. And in the sale, it is absolutely irresistible!

Chic coloured lip balm
Love this. I'm a sucker for gorgeous packaging and this is exceptional - right down to the magnetic closure. The balm is a gorgeous colour, and has no discernible scent. Although it's not particularly long lasting, balm generally isn't. I will be reusing the packaging when empty.

Beautiful but not long lasting
I got this based on the other reviews because it was on sale I was willing to take a chance. I got the colour Acacia. This is a pretty colour on medium/dark skin. It’s not quite the light pink “nude” that makes the lip disappear (on darker skin) but also not obviously a lipstick. It is a little more pigmented than a gloss but you could also apply this without looking and it wouldn’t be a disaster. It has a beautiful texture- not sticky at all and hydrating. I have also used a liner with it (Urban Decay - conspiracy) and it’s equally beautiful. The packaging is lovely, the magnetic closure is a nice feature and the cheetah picture is a great talking point and looks quite sleek. I also like that on the box the branding is “raised” so also feels that bit more classy. They have certainly thought of the finer points on how the packaging feels as well as looks. But it’s not worth the full price in my view. The colour doesn’t last long so you need to reapply quite often. It’s not large so won’t last long. It’s only just worth it when on sale when I compare it to other similar products. I did buy one for someone else after trying mine but again that’s only because it was on sale.
