Hummingbird Eye Quartet

The palette and colors are really beautiful however returned because of the following reasons: The eyeshadows are such small quantity that it doesnt justify the price. Also, it's not refillable which is such a bummer. Secondly, the beautiful slate color falls and irritates my contacts/eyes so much. Finally, the two of the colors appear pretty yellow on and do not work for cool skin tones. Hoping for a better Fall season palette. Please make them refillable, chantecaille!

This was my second eyeshadow quad purchase and I really love this brand. I see humming birds everyday when I walk and I think of this palette. It is beautiful. The grey color appears to my eyes as a greenish tint but people see color differently. It is beautiful and I am so glad I bought this. I had not planned on purchasing this but I gave in and the cool palette is stunning also. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought both eye quartets and couldn't be happier. I use my finger to gently pat each color on and use a smudge liner to line the shimmering plum (cool) or the shimmering slate (warm) on the eyes. These are perfect for spring. I have a wedding coming up and I have to decide which quartet to use. Both are gorgeous!

This is a beautiful quad- gorgeous...however, that said, the pans are teeny tiny small- but the reason I had to return this quad is because the beautiful slate color would fleck all over my eyes/face and irritate my eyes to no end... it broke my heart but I just couldn’t justify the price for how much it irritated my eyes.

It's a good, universal palette. The right shade in the second row is actually a very nice duochrome, there is a transition shade, an inner corner one and the grey-bluish one is a good 'party' shade. It seems that the pans are powders are quite fragile, mine arrived broken, but i was able to fix it. To me, though, the packaging looks nice when I browse it online, but feels cheap in real life, the print seems to be low quality, overall, I am not happy with Chantecaille packaging, although content is usually nice, but not worthy of the price tag.

The eyeshadow is velvety to the touch, very soft, stretches over the skin like silk, well pigmented, ideally shaded into a delicate haze, does not stain, when applied, only the darkest shade crumbles a little, and even then this is not a problem - I apply it with my finger, so it becomes more "wet" in appearance. The shine is very delicate, to a greater extent with the effect of a wet overflow, while individual sparkles on the skin are not visible. The eyeshadow visually smoothes the surface of the eyelid, and does not emphasize the texture, as some others do - the skin with them is smoother. In terms of durability, they are not super-resistant - without a base at the end of the day they fade a little, but with a base they hold for at least 7 hours without changes.
