Helps with oily t-zone
I got this as a sample and I love it so I bought the full size. My forehead gets very oily and tends to really shine in pictures. The first time I tried it, I applied all over my face after my skincare and before my makeup… and it really does matte everything. Going forward I’ll only apply to my t-zone area where I tend to get more oily and keep the rest of my face dewy. Some other reviews mentioned this product has a tendency to pile, I didn’t have this experience but I feel like it would definitely be an issue if you don’t allow enough time for your skincare to sink in before applying this. You also need to allow this product enough time to sink in before applying your make up on top of it.

Not good for Combo skin
I hated this product. It actually made my skin MORE oily and shiny. Even with a powder over my makeup I got extremely oily. I have combo skin so I would only recommend this for the very oily!

Not mattifying
Can’t say anything positive or negative. The chantecaille representative told me that this was supposed to mattify my skin in the T-zone, but it didn’t. Actually, I noticed more oiliness in the T-zone after applying this cream. Overpriced for its lack of performance. The smell is natural but not pleasant. Can’t speak for its anti-pollution capabilities, because I haven’t seen any changes in my skin that could indicate that my skin became less prone to polllution with this cream. I guess, “anti-pollution” sentiment was just a marketing trick. Oh, well...

Soothing, hydrating, and mattifying
I don't have super oily skin but definitely oily and prone to acne with mild rocesea. This moisturizer has become my morning routine staple in the last 4 months.
It mattifies instantly, and it's not a dead matte look, it's more like a child's young calm skin if that makes sense. On top of that, it makes pores appear smaller and tighter.
It is sooooo light and comfortable to wear and works with any serum, sunscreen, and foundation. I even put it over my eye cream when my eye area looks shiny.
Overall, I really have no complaints at all. The scent is Chantecaille signature heavenly rose, just like their masks.

Lovely!
Love this product for my combination skin. It’s very soothing and smoothing and smells really nice (like roses, not heavily fragranced). It has replaced of Dior DreamSkin Care and Perfect as my daily go-to.

Lovely texture
Lovely texture, I liked the mattifying look also. I’m looking for another new moisturizer for the summer. That being said, because I also wear sunscreen, I’m not sure if the mattifying nature if this is worth the price point, as it gets covered up by sunscreen (or my usually-dewy makeup). The anti-pollution benefits are great but not sure how long they last for (is it like sunscreen; would it have to be re-applied throughout the day?) anyway, as a moisturizer it’s fine, and I’ll keep it in mind for future as I love the brand!
