I tried this more than a year ago, but found it too drying... also at that time I purchased the wrong color. This time, I purchased in BR12, which is a perfect match. I love the packaging, love that it is so easy to put on with fingers. I don't use much. I kind of use it as concealer on my cheeks + nose. I love the dispenser, just a little squeeze. Pure elegance. I found out about this foundation because I am a Hot + Flashy subscriber. This is her holy grail.

Dull and Drying...
I know I'm in the minority when I say that I do not like this foundation. I may be the only person b/c I know this is a best seller and favorite of so many. But...it does absolutely nothing for my skin. It makes my skin look dull and dry. Two characteristics that you definitely do not want in mature skin. I am in my mid-40's and I have really great skin. There is no luminosity to this foundation at all. It is extremely flat and matte on the skin. In other words, it does not add any type of glow. I want and need that youthful glow...but I do not want too much moisture because that emphasizes my pores. This foundation is extremely aging and drying. Ok, it did have a blurring effect on my pores but nothing that was so great that I would pay $50 for it. The color is off also. This is not the same color as 3.0 in Vita Lumiere Aqua - which is my hands-down all-time favorite. I love pretty much every product that Chanel puts out there but this is not one of them. Vita Lumiere Aqua is far superior to this. You only need a small amount, it blends beautifully into the skin, it is virtually undetectable, it smooths pores and does not sink into lines, and the color is spot-on accurate and it is semi-matte yet provides a gorgeous luminosity...all of these things combined give you incredible skin with that "how does she look so radiant?" quality. Other foundations that are superb is Chanel's Powder Foundation. It has no equal...It's my alternate favorite for a more matte look. I'm sorry I just cannot recommend this one...too matte, too dull, too drying, too aging...

This was a big fail for me
I really really wanted to love this foundation. It is Chanel after all. I am still on the hunt for the perfect foundation, but this one didn't do it for me. It seems to be fussy with what primer or sunscreen you use. I have tried it for over a week in all different ways, including on naked skin, and I am sad to say that I looked my worse each and every day. I did love the way it applied and the feel on my skin, and I looked great right after applying it, but that didn't even last an hour. This foundation emphasized each and every flaw I may have. I am 45 with fairly normal skin, but it emphasized every pore and fine line and wore off very quickly. I applied this at 5:30 am, and by mid morning, I looked worse than I look with nothing on my face. This was a big price tag for a failed experiment.
