ROUGE COCO FLASH Lipstick

I was gutted when Chanel discontinued the Rouge Coco Shine product, along with my most-loved color of all time: Bonheur. Fast forward a couple years, and I finally got around to trying the new Rouge Coco Flash formula. Everything looks and feels the same, with the exception of the clear lid. What made me happy was the discovery that Phenomene reminded me of Bonheur, but without the obligatory shimmer (which I prefer to do without). Phenomene is a deep-but-sheer plum with faint red undertones. It glides on like butter and stays on my lips until lunch, even after drinking. It does fade from the center outward, but because these lipsticks are so sheer, the fading doesn't look weird because the pigment leaves behind a moderate stain. I loved Phenomene so much, I bought a second one, and then picked up Desir--a clear rose red that doesn't turn fuchsia on my pigmented lips. I can't wait to head to a Chanel counter and try some other colors.
