Great matte lipsticks.
CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE VELVET LUMINOUS MATTE LIP COLOUR is non-drying, non-sticky, and weightless. They are matte but with a subtle hint of a satin look. #37 L' EXUBERANTE is a great medium pink color.
#38 LA FASCINANTE is a great red. The photos are to show there is a bit
of a satin finish and the color of the lipsticks.

Lipstick color misrepresented; great lipstick
The whole lipstick color line of Rouge Allure velvet luminous matte lip color is misrepresented on Nordstrom's website. You must see these colors in person prior to buying! I purchased 3 Rouge Allure velvet lipsticks on the website (La Ravissante, La Fascinante, and L'Exuberante) and must say that in person none of the colors is anywhere close to the colors shown on the website. La Ravissante is dark beet-red in color; La Fascinante - muted peachy terra-cotta; and L'Exuberante is eye-hurting neon fuchsia pink. I've learned that some of the colors have been discontinued already. Now, having said that, I liked the texture of Rouge Allure luminous matte lipstick: smooth, easy to apply, moisturizing with long substantivity. The packaging is stylish and convenient. I would most certainly buy Rouge Allure luminous matte lipstick again, but NOT on-line and not without seeing the colors in person first.

Please ladies Write What Color Your Reviewing!!!
I have bought several Chanel Lipsticks and have not found one that comes as close to the Tom Ford's Matte lipsticks stay ability and no bleed formulas.
That said I still enjoy many Chanel offerings.
In reading the reviews on the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour Lipsticks....I wish the reviewers would state
WHAT COLOR YOU PURCHASED AND ARE REVIEWING!!!
I am trying to figure out what color the "raspberry stain left on the lips" & "no brown or yellow" in the lipstick she purchased?! HELLO! Paleeeze put in what CLOR you are REVIEWING?!
I bought awhile back "Pirate" in another formula of Chanel's and it is very dramatic & sexy. Great stay & stain left as if I had eaten a bowl of strawberries...Pirate is perfect for the Fall, Winter and well any special night out!

I love Chanel lipsticks.....I also love reading the reviews. Not helpful to rave about a lipstick color and not tell the reader what the color is or what your skin tone is. It would be so helpful to the rest of us. Just saying...

SO MANY COMPLIMENTS!
In the past I never tried the matte lip color, assuming that my lips would be dryer than normal but I love this lip line even more than my Rouge Allure Intense Lip Colour and Rouge Shine tubes! It goes on so easy, creamy, thick and pigmented! La Sensuelle is especially gorgeous and everyone stops me and asks what color it is. It's more of a vibrant red than shown in the swatch. Can't wait to buy more.

Improved formula
I wasn't a big fan of Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks, because they used to be quite drying. But I noticed big improvement in the recent launches. And I truly enjoy the velvety finish.
The limited edition #45 L'adoree is a big hit, and my new favorite for a more sophisticated look.
#44 La Diva is not so much for everyday look, because it has a pretty strong neon tone to the already very bright fuscia color. But I still love it. It offers a very edgy touch, if you pair it with a clean/natural overall look.
