A cut above the rest

I like to collect makeup brushes and I have all of the MAC, Sigma brushes as well as a few mufe ones. I started buying Chanel brushes when I came upon this beautiful powder brush and just had to have it. The brush has natural hairs, the ferrules are nice and tight, the brush doesn't shed or leak color when you wash it and it has a beautiful weight to it that makes it feel so good in your hand unlike the MAC brushes which feel like the handles are hollow on the inside and are seemingly top-heavy. The handle of the brush is glossier than MAC brushes and the hairs are definitely softer. Also, unlike the MAC 150&152 this powder brush is perfectly round and domed whereas the MAC brushes look a little flattened. The brush picks up product such as loose powders and pressed powders quite well and application is precise and even. Sure this brush is slightly more expensive than other brushes approx 15-25 dollars more than other top brands;however, I believe the quality and durability justify the price. This is an investment piece for me that I believe will last me many years and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. Ps. Instead of flimsy plastic these brushes come in the classic black velvety case that all the makeup products come in so they can be put in your bag as well.

Sheds Like An Animal

I bought this brush thinking it would succeed the par at which the pure thought of Chanel products has disposed. Well, I was mistaken. I was thrilled at the feel of the brush itself so I had high hopes. But while using it, I was left with hair ALL over my face. I thought maybe it's the sheer fact that it's brand new and needs to just be cleaned and such hair would simply fall out and be ready to use. After cleaning it thoroughly, it still continued to leave hair all over my face even with me cleaning it again and trying to reuse it several times after. I proceeded to call Chanel and they said nothing could be done. Tough. Very disappointed at the product and reaction given by Chanel themselves.

Sadly a Disappointment

I was so excited when I bought this brush and wanted to love it so bad, unfortunately it did not live up to the standards. I washed it before using it and it shed quite a bit, I thought maybe the shedding will decrease or stop after a few washes but sadly that did not happen. Every time I use this brush, it sheds leaving so many stray bristles on my face as well as the counter, my shirt etc. I was expecting so much more from this brush since I read so many good reviews on it and when you spend this much on a brush, the expectations are obviously high. I regret not returning this brush, since I feel I have lost a quarter of the bristles already and it feels rough on the skin now even though it's been less than a year since I purchased this brush. I will continue my search for the perfect powder brush and maybe purchase a Tom Ford Bronzer brush to use as a powder brush since I have heard so many good things about that brush. I really was hoping this brush would work for me but a great disappointment. The foundation brush by Chanel on the other hand is a great product and works really well with any liquid foundation.

Best Makeup Brush Ever

Hands down, the best makeup brush I have ever had. I do not wear a liquid or cream foundation, instead use Chanel's Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder to set my moisturizer and even out my skin color a bit. This amazing brush evenly and effortlessly applies the loose powder. Very well made; soft; brush hairs do not shed. A must have brush!

Sheds too much

I love Chanel however, i used this brush for a good 3-4 months and every time I thought after washing it, it would stop shedding but it never did. I got the Sigma brush instead and am loving it.

OMG!!!

I love love this brush.as I only wear powder foundation,I've stopped using the sponge.too cakey the kabuki too thick,and unnatural,enter this brush.it goes on light.and I can build to my taste,I really don't know how I've made it this long without,it really is amazing
