Very disappointed
I love almost everything CHANEL, but this was a major disappointment. I purchased three colors. All of them are so sheer, it's like I am not wearing anything. I do use a base, which greatly brings out the color in every brand, except this one. It's as though this formula is "base resistant". I applied layer upon layer, first with the sponge applicator and then with a brush, and the color does not build whatsoever. The formula is extremely dry. I can't believe that in this modern era, one of the top beauty brands is still making eyeshadow that is dry like fine sand. I don't have dry eyelids/dry skin whatsoever. I don't even recall, in my 41 years of life, ever owning an eyeshadow that went on so dry! I honestly don't get why CHANEL can't produce some decent eyeshadows. They need to lose all the crazy sparkles in everything too and introduce some variety to their customers.

Too Much Sparkle and Too Drying
I am a very faithful Chanel customer and was looking forward to the new shadows, unfortunately we have yet another product on the market for the 40-45 and under crowd, as this is sparkle galore and I do not think this formula as anywhere near the caliber of the old Chanel quads with the square powders.

30 vibrant violet
So in love with this purple , not too vibrant actually, great smooth easy to use eyeshadow , got hooked on Chanel mascara and this one ,makes green eyes greener . I will get a backup! recommend for someone who Doesn’t want it too bright and colorful

This eyeshadow is the best of the best! Super pigmented, and such a gorgeous color to wear and surprisingly it’s great for an everyday look! You can wet the brush a bit if you want it darker, or if you want more of a muted tone, keep the brush dry and apply from the inside of the eye, out. It’s so versatile and I can’t wait to keep buying more Chanel!!!

I bought this in Rose Synth and I just can't see the color. I do use a primer. Maybe that makes the color light, but this color is not noticeable at all. Layer after layer, no difference. Definite return.

Satin Sable eyeshadow review…
I didn’t realize that the Sable eyeshadow was a satin finish as the description doesn’t specify for each color, which would be helpful. Beautiful color and not too much sparkle, just some shimmer and will use it multiple ways. It opens my eyes which I’m happy about as I’m a person of a certain age..Very happy with purchase!

Perfect Pink!
searched for a pink that adds a slight brightness-not shocking or dull! Finally found this. Skin is more mature (read: eye creases) and this works to add simple brightness to my natural eye makeup palette. Really lovely texture & I will be buying chanel eye makeup again!

Chanel Perfect!
To begin with Purchased in Sable & Chocolate Brown as I wanted some Shadows without sparkle, glitter etc. Both fit that perfectly, Sable is a great slightly satin shadow that can be used Dry or Wet ( I prefer the Subtle Dry approach) It imparts a very natural Radiance just a but of Liner & Mascara for a polished look. The Chocolate Brown is Great as a liner or as I use it smudged in the Socket for a bit of Fairly Natural Glam. If I want to get a Glassy look I add a dab of Westmanatelier Lit Stick center of Lid ; Tear Duct. As with All Things Chanel Elegant!
