Long Time user of Chanel Eyeshadows
I recently stopped in to check out new eye and lip colors at my favorite Chanel counter. The specialist recognized my need for a color update and after looking at a few colors she applied Fauve eye shadow and also Ebony as a contrast on the outer corners of my eyes. Graphique black liner and cassis eye pencil to line my eyes. It really made my blue eyes pop!! I am often concerned with too much metallic or shimmer ( I am 50+), but Chanel shadows don't accentuate flaws. I had used Taupe Grise for a long time and also Cinnamon. Somehow the sparkle in it just looks soft and smooth. Never over powering or unflattering! Color stays on beautifully and they last a very long time. For me they blend smoothly and because of the high pigmentation you don't need a lot. They are worth every penny! Top Notch Shadow. (I bought a gorgeous Rouge Coco Lipstick also, Ce Soir) The Finished Look was Tres Bien!! Merci beaucoup Chanel!

Disappointing
I saw the slate color in a magazine and thought it would finally be the answer to the perfect taupe-y nude shadow that I've been searching for. Unfortunately the quality was horrible. It did not blend well for a nearly $30 product. I've had $4 drugstore makeup that was more true to color and blended more easily. The product is also tiny and the applicator is so small, its difficult to get out of the compact and actually use. This product is going back.

Freshen your look with "Lotus"
I ordered this shadow in "Lotus" after watching a video tutorial on Chanel's website. The color is subtle and light and it works well to brighten the eye in a natural-looking way without a lot of shimmer. To finish, I line my upper lashline in Chanel's "Taupe" liner for a fresh, clean look (liner color discontinued, but "Marron Glace" is close). Very simple to do -- no other colors or skills necessary!
I deducted one star for cost/quantity value... but it won't stop me from buying again in the future.

Vert Khaki
Lovely soft greenish shade with very subtle gold shimmer. I have blue-green eyes and this plus the new Khaki liner and mascara really make them pop. I do use the Chanel eyeshadow base and the shadow goes on like butter, blending seamlessly. The case is, like all things Chanel, a lovely thing to handle with a nice mirror that seems to be slightly magnified. Very helpful to the older user. Highly recommend.

Smoldering eyes!
This eyeshadow goes on smoothly and feels great! The color, Magic Night, brings out the sparkle, and green in my eyes. Love it!

Fauve Shadow is Fabulous
Previously had my face made up using this eyeshadow. Loved the color and recently purchased. When I applied it myself, it had a little too much sparkle for me. However, I dampened a sponge, applied it to the shadow and it came out great. My 8 year old grandson noticed immediately and asked why I was so dressed up.
The only bad thing I have to say is that ater I purchased the shadow, I was told by a Chanel rep that it was being discontinued!!!

Excellent quality eye shadow
I bought Safari. It has a beautiful subtle pearly sheen, not too shiny or glittery, it adhered well even without a base coat, lasted all day, no streaks on my eyelids, did not flake off, color when applied on my eyes is the same as the color in the pan, and good color for daytime or evening. Chanel got the formulation perfect on this particular shadow and color.
