N°19 Eau de Toilette Spray

Chanel 19 has been my favorite for over 2 decades. My father passed away 8 yrs ago from Cancer. He used to buy this for me every Christmas. I was sad to see it no longer sold in stores, but thrilled to see that Nordstrom's sells it online. You have brought back the memories of my father and Christmas for me once again. I have worn Chanel #19 for more years than I care to list, it is the only perfume I wear. The fragrance has hints of citrus, not flowery at all, delicate but long lasting. I love this perfume!! I have found a valuable tip to share, take a small piece of scotch tape and stick it over the spray hole when not in use, it stops evaporation.

I have been wearing Chanel 19 since high school, there are other scents that I rotate in and out but 19 is THE ONE. As it became increasingly hard to find, I became more selective about when I wore it and as more and more counters stopped carrying it I was forced to branch out to other scents. A few years ago I was told it was discontinued (by a Chanel Counter employee no less at a different high-end retail store) and every time I was shopping somewhere that carried Chanel products, I was told the same thing: it is no longer made. Imagine my surprise, and delight, in discovering that not only is it NOT discontinued, but that Nordstrom offers it online. I can not tell you how thrilled I was to place this order! As other reviewers have noted, the formula is subtly different than it used to be. I started wearing it in the early 90's so I never had the pleasure of knowing the original scent before 1979, this new formula is slightly different from the one I wore for 15 years but in no way has it strayed so far as to be markedly different. It is still the gorgeous experience I remember and love above all other scents. The perfume industry is riddled with "expensive" brands that wear cheaply and mimic each other. Chanel 19 stands apart, as each note shines the scent evolves and deepens, this truly is a classic scent produced by a classic house that still clearly takes pride in manufacturing luxurious scents of quality. The online order process was a dream, I currently live many hours drive from the nearest Nordstrom, very easy to place my order and it arrived as scheduled. I am so thrilled to have my most favorite scent back, absolutely thrilled with the ease of purchase and more than a little miffed at the lack of knowledge or customer care exhibited by so many Chanel and fragrance counter representatives at other higher end retail establishments. Nordstrom is now my go-to shop for all things cosmetic.

Of course this would be Coco Chanel's personal fragrance! Of all the scents in the world, she created and chose No 19 to wear personally. If you are only familiar with Chanel #5, then this scent will be a complete surprise! Chanel #19 is refreshing and yet sophisticated. Aroma is complex and yet clean. Timeless-a forever scent! I have worn this fragrance since 1974 and this is my main scent. I like to think that Coco and I share similar "good taste and style!" Thank you Nordstrom for stocking Chanel #19! This is not an easy scent to find! And that is why you are exceptional Nordstrom!

I have worn No.19 for YEARS! Recently, however, I found that all the "fine" stores stopped carrying it! I was even told by one that Chanel no longer made the product! I found that to be completely unbelievable! 19 has been around forever...WHY would they stop producing it? I went to the Chanel website & found I could order direct...but why? Then this Christmas morning....There it was! My wonderful husband had found No.19 @ Nordstrom!! It made my Christmas! Thank you, Nordstrom for continuing to carry this wonderful fragrance!!!! No. 5 is alright, but we No.19 girls like to be more unique than everyone else :-) Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!

Again, again, when I come to the Chanel counter, I am always thinking to myself, WHY oh WHY, do I even bother with anything else. From the makeup to the fragrance to the skincare...to anything....clothes, etc. Well, I thought I'd try this, the green juice and spring upon us, I never tried this. Went through countless No 5 over the years. Well, at first, I thought...meh..no...But once we started looking at the gorgeous lipstick and picking up a few items that a lady must have, the best mascara, etc. I said to my daughter, smell this now. OMG. Well, yes could she ever attach her name to anything that wasn't top notch. OMG. This is fabulous. Run, don't walk and get it, and don't listen to anyone's reviews about cold. Sample it for yourself, make your own judgement. I'm sure you'll walk away with a bottle. Wow! Keep on grabbing No 5 girls, I'll be grabbing this for awhile, in fact, I think this is my signature fragrance from now on. I find it perfect. PERFECT!
