Biarritz is more Spring/Summer and Vivacious

So all three fragrances are nice, but here is my run down: 1.) I like Biarritz the best - it is fresh and sunny. At first it is very green, but give it half an hour and wait until it dries down to experience a delicate and beautiful note. I really like the blend of this one and will be cooling on hot summer days. 2.) Deauville is more unisex to me - the woods make it more refined and dressy...more a chypre and stronger than Biarritz. Slightly less sweet with green/woody prominence. 3.) The Venise is more evening/winter....lovely with the tonka which adds a vanilla note, but a bit much for work days or when you want a lighter, brighter scent. I selected Biarritz because I want an exciting, fresh work/day fragrance.

Not for me

As a scent, I did not like it personally. I found it very one note-ish. It seemed like a fragrance an old grandmother would wear to me. I also found that it had little lasting power which for me was fine but if I liked the fragrance then that would be a huge drawback. It seemed like a cheap smelling scent you might find at a drugstore. I was extremely disappointed.

Fresh Burst of Citrus Scent

Have tried all three scents in the Paris line. Biarritz is definitely my favorite. It is a fresh scent with a burst of citrus. Bought the Biarritz shower gel and lotion also. All three are wonderful products. Wish the Eau de Toilette had more staying power. Layering definitely helps. Will be my go to fragrance line in warm weather months.

Lovely, dusky, almost wine-like scent

These three new Chanel fragrances all surprise me. When I tried them in the store, I thought I preferred Venise, however, I received the samples with a recent online Beauty purchase, and I have to say, Venise doesn't suit me, at all. However, Biarritz is right up my alley. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it on the skin. It's very sexy and mysterious and lingers. The dry-down is very soft and powdery but sophisticated. Quite a unique fragrance. I want the whole range now!

Doesn't Last! Great Smell

I am so disappointed that this beautiful fragrance has no lasting qualities. I have to reapply 6 times a day. That is too expensive to entertain.

My Thoughts

I love the scent, but is is not cost effective, plus it only last on the skin for MAYBE an hour and then is gone!!! I will return it. :(

Not my favorite of the three

Opening is like freshly grated citrus rind, very bitter. I didn't like the first 20 minutes of Paris-Biarritz, but it finally floated into metallic watery notes, very shiny and light grey. A good hour later light musk. Longevity isn't that great, and this one will need to be refreshed often. Spraying on clothing and hair teases out more and if you like a good 5-8 sprays all over, it would work well. Not my favorite of the three Les Eauxs and I suggest Deauville and Venise over Biarritz.
