I have never, ever been able to paint my own nails without making a mess. I always needed to apply multiple layers to get the appropriate color depth and, inevitably, I would touch something with the nail before it could dry and/or it would chip within hours. Consequently, I've spent $100s on getting them professionally painted over the years. I bought this polish in dark pink to bring with me to my next nail appointment because I liked the color, but found myself in a time crunch because of the buckets of snow falling up north... so I resorted to trying to do it myself for the first time in I don't know how long. It went on like a dream in one coat, no mess... dried in what seemed like seconds. It hasn't chipped yet (a couple of days out) and it looks as good as if I had had them done. In short, this polish may have just changed my life. I'm ordering more in multiple colors. Highly recommend.

I used to feel guilty about spending this much on polish. But I use up every drop of Chanel polish while others sit half full until they rot. So I think I'm actually saving money. (See how I can convince myself of that pretty easily, huh?) But really, the colors are just amazing. And the polish is top notch. It goes on perfectly. i'm not sure if it is the brush or the formula or both, but it just glides on and is almost always a perfect coverage and not all over my cuticles. The colors are really amazing, too. They just have the best pigments and I love that they are now acetone and tolulene free. The only thing I don't like? How often the colors get retired. I know that's they way it works with Chanel polish, but when I like something, it's sad when it can be hard to get to begin with and then it's gone forever. Right now, the best colors IMO are Vendetta (more interesting and updated than Vamp) and Gondola (which has some shimmer to it, but is a very bright mulberry) and Orange Fizz (a very surprisingly wearable and flattering color.) There's something about these polishes that just transcends ordinary nail color. Well worth the price.

Chanel really has the most unique, beautiful nail colors. I recently purchased two colors--Particuliere and Paradoxal--and they are stunning! Particuliere is the most gorgeous shade of taupe, and Paradoxal is deep, iridescent grayish-purple with very subtle purple glitter. Chanel nail colors have a depth and richness that many other brands of nail polish lack--plus they hold up well on your nails. Easily my favorite brand of nail polish!

I began using this Chanel product a few years ago with Anniversary Sale Limited Editions, as I wanted to do my nails regularly with a quality polish. The formula is slow to dry, leaving dents and nicks at the slightest thing, especially if I do my nails a few hours before bed, even with base and topcoat. The formulas vary by color and texture, some are thicker, many others go on smoothly and self level. They shine and look great for a day or so but soon chip with tip wear like everything else, so touch ups are a must. The brush isn't great. Any of these "unique" colors are available in less expensive dupes with better, fast drying formulas and good brushes for a fraction of the cost, such as Butter London, Deborah Lippmann, Essie and others.

The color of this polish is amazing. Neutral shade, appropriate for a conservative work environment. Long lasting. Chanel polish goes on smooth and covers with one coat, two coats give more depth.

Big fan of Chanel nail polishes. The texture is very smooth, can be painted evenly, although the brush can be improved (like what Dior and YSL offers). The best part of Chanel polish is the natural shine, and only 1 coat required to have full coverage. The overall quality and color offerings are very satisfying. The 3 shades in the 2014 Spring collection are quite unique. The eggplant color and the neon red color are new, and will be added to the regular collection, while the ballet pink color is repromotion of the regular shade.
