Excellent Protection Against Pollution and Weather
I live in an extremely dry climate, so cleansing my skin with water is really not the best idea. I also live very close to the intersection of a very busy street and an interstate highway, so the protection against pollution is so important to me. I use this product both as a cleanser and a makeup remover (for everything but eye makeup, for which I use Chanel's eye makeup remover), and I get beautiful results. It's been a very hot summer and so far my skin has stayed dewy. I have no doubt that Chanel Le Lait will help protect my skin during ski season. I bought this product through Nordstrom's order-online-pickup-in-store program and it all went so smoothly. It was there right away and I was able to go about my day without having to wait.

Bring back the cream cleanser!
I can’t speak for everyone, but this milky texture is not working for my face. It broke my face out, it doesn’t work on my foreo and it doesn’t feel like it’s removing all of my make up. I have to use like 3-4 pump’s to make it feel productive. The cream cleanser lasted me forever with less than a dime size amount and foamed up beautifully with my foreo. I don’t know why they discontinued it altogether, but this is not what I was hoping for. Now I will be on the hunt for a new cleanser for the first time in many years, unfortunately.

Not the same
I was am old foaming cleanser user. Trusting Chanel, I tried the mill cleanser...not my cup of tea. It clearly works from some just doesnt work for me. I would like a choice between the milk and the foaming cleanser. Chanel, I implore you please being back the foaming cleanser in addition to the milk. On the meantime I will need to switch.

Great Product
Goes on beautifully with a brush and washes off effortlessly while leaving behind very clean and shiny skin. Nice but not overpowering fragrance. Not foamy. Very pleased with new cleanser!

Gently and effective cleanser
Used to use a milk cleanser from Kiehl's which was discontinued so I started using this and I am very pleased with it. Great for more mature skin. Effectively cleans the skin without drying.
The only negative is the price and the bottle does not completely empty. Would be better in a jar with a screw top lid.

It removes a lot of daily grime and makeup.
On days that I double cleanse I use this first. It removes all make up and anything else I was into such as dirt and pollen from gardening all day. For those who do not know
how this works, it is a cream cleanser that turns into an oil as you massage. It takes about a minute of massaging into the skin for this transformation to happen. Once it turns into an oil, I like to continue massaging my skin, really working it in, all over including around my eyes and neck. You can then remove with cotton pads or a flannel but I like to simply rinse it off with cool water. This is a great product and ritual that I find to be relaxing and soothing. It is also a great cleanser to have on hand if you use any exfoliating treatments like retinol. Flaking skin rolls right off with this cleanser leaving skin baby soft and protected. No harsh scrubbing required.
