If the rule of thumb that says that the top 5 ingredients on the list matter most, then this is the highest price I have paid for a mix of water and alcohol (alcohol denat). This product has a very liquid texture like most serums. It does have some smell of alcohol upon application. If you happen to have a sensitive spot or rash you will feel the sting. The other 2 products in this series are awesome, Le Nuit and Le Weekend.

I am in my 40's and have combination skin. My main requirement for skincare and makeup products is that my face must feel clean. I don't do well with any residue feeling product. The Chanel Le Jour is fantastic! I was suprised that it is not a cream, looks like a clear serum but acts like a moisturizer that leaves your skin feeling ultra clean. I use the Chanel velvet makeup right after application, along with the Le Lift eye concentrate, and my face stays clean feeling and greaseless all day. I do't use a moisturizer on top as it says to do because it feels just right for me. I sometimes use my Elta MD suncreen with it. If you have combination or oily skin then this will do wonders for you.

Of the 3 Chanel Resynchronized skincare routine I had the most doubt on Le Jour, but so far it surprises me the most and performes and deliveres the best results I can think of. I'm mostly concerned about its light and watery texture not being hydrating enough, but to the contrary it hydrates very well and goes well with my other morning routine moisturizer. It gets absorbly instantly into my skin and yet provides a well hydrated feel and dewy look, just perfect for daywear. I notice my face is more even after using about half a bottle, and now it's indispensible in my morning skincare routine. It's reasonaly priced and comes with very smart marketing, totally appealing to someone like me working full time and want nothing more than a restful and detoxifed skin!

My t-zone/combination skin absolutely loves this product. I, too, have been using Chanel skin products for a long time (not sure if dinosaurs were roaming my backyard but suffice to say it feels like forever) and this is one of my favorite products. i have fairly substantial pores on my nose and Le Jour definitely performs as described - my pores appear tightened. If you're considering purchasing this product you may want to stop by the Chanel counter and have one of their "beauty advisors" apply it on your (clean) face. Keep in mind, to my knowledge, it does not contain an SPF.

My skin has not looked this fresh and vibrant in years! I have lupus, and skin care is a necessity to looking and feeling healthy. I have tried so many products but Le Jour has been the best one, as my skin is moisturized and it is light weight but effective. It is 100% worth the money. I use Le Jour with Le Weekend, La Nuit, Mousse Confort Cream Cleanser, and Lotion Confort. I have combination skin.

I had to try this new product, and I am glad that I did. On the first day I used it, several people (who had no knowledge that I used this product) commented that my skin looked great! It's anecdotal, I know, but still ... It goes on very smoothly and absorbs right away. My skin loves it.
