JOUES CONTRASTE Powder Blush

I am surprised by the negative reviews since I have tried all kinds of high-end brands, and I keep coming back to Chanel. I have the newly released Ombre, which is a gorgeous pinky-brown nude type of mat shade. I heard people saying it is too mat and flat, but I would disagree. It looks very natural on the skin, and it does not call attention. It is a great blush for everyday looks that won't interfere with any lip color. I also have the Rose Ecrin, and that is more of a peachy pink, which again is very understated, but you can build up. I don't see much difference between the old and new formulation, but that is my two cents. I have very smooth, clear skin for reference, so I don't have issues with textures. If you are the kind of woman that wears make-up to enhance her natural beauty rather than use it as camouflage, then Chanel does not disappoint. Lovely, classic packaging, great selection of colors, and considering fairly reasonably priced if I compare it to Sisley, another favorite line. I laughed at the review of someone comparing Chanel packaging to anything sold at Target or Walmart. That is a joke and a display of not knowing what simple, elegant design means.

I had heard that they reformulated the blushes, but didnt think it could be that bad. After all, it is Chanel. This formula new formula is drier, does not blend easily (I would say it doesnt blend at all - but if you keep at it, you get a somewhat blended appearance), and it develops hard pan so quickly! I am not paying money to have drugstore style performance. My old Chanel blushes are absolute dreams to apply. Now, my colourpop blushes apply better.
