Beautiful, elegant fragrance
I've been wearing this fragrance daily since I was 16 (I'm 30). It is a beautiful, elegant, scent - not too strong, not to girlish, not too musky. I have a preppier, more spartan style (lots of solid silk blouses and straight black trousers in my wardrobe) and this fragrance complements it nicely. Strong recommend.

I purchased three different fragrances based on reviews I've read. I was searching for a scent with lots of vanilla but also some floral notes which needed to be subtle.
At first Allure smelled very pretty, and also strong considering I only sprayed the tiniest amount on my wrist. I then went out for a walk and kept smelling my wrist over and over, and then it hit me. While I found this fragrance interesting, after repeated sniffs I decided that it was just too heavy. It is as described: difficult to describe. But I will say that at first the floral scent is most prevalent, and later you can smell the spicy end notes and vanilla. Unfortunately, it's just not compatible with my skin chemistry I think. I am waiting to receive Chance next, and I am hoping that it will be the scent I have been searching for!

Chanel Allure
This is my favorite scent, and the only one I use. A Nordstrom sales associate helped me test and try different ones to arrive at the best choice for me -- she was very helpful and gave me a mini-course on the different qualities of scents.

Worth every penny
This fragrance is one that you, like myself, will absolutely adore. Nordstrom's description (difficult to define, impossible to resist) is really quite perfect. I had received Allure for my 18th birthday thirteen years ago; it immediately became and has remained the only perfume in my perfume collection. It smells so rich and feminine and classy - unlike anything I have smelt before. The scent stays until you shower. Highly recommend this perfume to any woman who loves sensual scents.

Gorgeous!!!
I've always worn Allure eau de perfume...but, wanted to try the eau de toilette. It's definitely like the perfume with the same notes... however, this one is probably an easier wear. Not as strong....yet, totally a Channel! Classy, sexy, feminine and timeless! This lasts for hours just like perfume version! Excellent power!!

Sophisticated
You can never go wrong with Chanel perfumes, and this one is no exception. It is a bit more modern than some of the others, but is still a wonderful, classy fragrance.
