What it does: Inspired by Queen Isabelle of Hungary's famous elixir of youth, Beauty Elixir is formulated with grape extracts and clarifying ingredients to provide an immediate burst of radiance. The complexion treatment reduces dullness and is infused with toning rosemary, astringent mint, and soothing rose organic essential oil to prepare your skin for further treatments. A cult favorite among celebrities and makeup artists worldwide, the Beauty Elixir is the ideal setting spray between layers of makeup for a long-lasting and smooth finish. Perfect as an aftershave for men, the formula contains essential oils and plant extracts to brighten the complexion.
How to use: Spray on as a toner before applying moisturizers or serums. The therapeutic scent from the organic essential oils of mint, rose, and rosemary invigorates the senses. Spritz on midday for a quick pick-me-up, or any time of day to refresh makeup or energize the skin. At the top of the Beauty Elixir formula, you'll notice a ring of darker liquid, which is intentional. This is simply the natural essential oils that have separated from the water due to the lack of chemical emulsifiers within the product. Simply shake the contents well before spraying.

If you haven't tried 'Beauty Elixir' get down to your local Caudalie counter and spritz some ASAP! It will literally make your day. I will NEVER be without this product for the rest of my life, which says a great deal, considering I try, use and own a preposterous amount beauty products...
It does everything! And I RARELY believe products that promise the "everything" purpose. It's a TONER, MAKE-UP SETTER, NATURAL ANTI-BACTERIAL AGENT, REFRESHER, HYDRATOR, BALANCER and more! It wakes up your skin and your spirits with its pure essential oils which Caudlaie is known for.
Here's just a sampling of several spectacular uses for 'Beauty Elixir':
• If you have a zit, spritz some directly on it to take down inflammation and kill bacteria.
• Having a hard time waking up in the morning? Spritz some onto a hot wash cloth and take a deep inhale while holding the cloth to your face.
• Chill a bottle in the fridge and spritz when you and your complexion need a shot of cool, calm and collected.
• If you want that perfect, radiant finish with your foundation/powder/mineral makeup etc., just spritz a bit atop your last makeup step before you head out the door. (Did you know - I found out - during Bare Escentuals trainings they will specifically use 'Beauty Elixir' to sublimely set their mineral make up?!)

I even know people who use it like a 'Febreze' product in their cars, purses, even on their pets! At their Vinothérapie Spas in Europe their Vinothérapists and Estheticians actually use it as a deodorant because of the natural, antibacterial agents present in the essential oils. I don't quite recommend this for the average American who is quite concerned with their underarm products, but this says something for sure.
The new bottle shape is taller and slender and fits much better into pocket books and bags. AND they brought the price down by $3.00! As if its multifaceted functions weren't value enough! Merci Caudalie!

Spritz nozzle and new formula Awful
The new nozzle is awful! When I mist my face it gets all over my blouse. It never did that before. And the new formula is not good. Why? Go back to the original formula and the original spray nozzle. Sad but I wont be purchasing the beauty elixir anymore. It doesn’t make my skin feel the same.

Please know that we did not change its formula: as you know, the Beauty Elixir features an essential oil blend. The scent can change from time to time depending on the harvest of the plant extracts, being that it is made from ingredients that are 100% of natural origin. Therefore, it can be more mint-y, orange-y or smell more of rosemary, which can be surprising if you prefer certain notes.

Shuttle glow great over makeup and great as apart of my skincare routine. My skin was starting to look at a little dull and this gave me a pick me up. I’ve always heard great things about the product and since buying its never in stock. So if you get it, try and buy two at a time

I been using it for like 13 years straight
My most favorite mist.
I can’t live without it.
I love layering water mist, toners and serum.
I am more on Hydration and I believe serums and mist are easily absorbed by your skin and it’s loaded with good
Vitamins and all beneficial stuff that your skin needs and without feeling that it’s just sitting on your skin.
In my opinion Asian loves what we called seven skin, meaning you layer your mist/toners seven times (some do only 3-4 times) it helps hydrates and moisturized your skin too by doing so.
I am 50 with normal and combination skin, sometimes dryer on winter times.

This obviously has a cult following, especially among beauty bloggers. When I first heard of facial sprays I thought they had to be the most ridiculous gimmick I'd ever heard of. After reading and seeing many many positive reviews of this stuff and noticing how dry my skin gets in the middle of the day during the colder months I caved and bought a small bottle. I was super disappointed to notice that the second ingredient after water is ALCOHOL. No wonder it gets rid of oil and tightens pores...for a few minutes. Who can afford to spray almost straight alcohol on their skin?? And no wonder it has a "refreshing" feeling. I'm not sold on this. I don't think I'll repurchase and I may return. The scent is pretty strong and lasts at least 15 minutes.

defective cap
This is my all-time favorite facial spray, though I knocked off 2 stars because the company has yet to fix the common defective cap problem, which leaves me frustrated as I can't access the contents without a functioning cap.

Refreshing strong scent
This beauty exilir is refreshing and does provide a subtle glow to the face. I was expecting the scent to be more feminine and not as minty. It makes me feel like as if I was spraying Listerine mouth wash to my face. I don't know if I'll end up keeping it due to the scent. I would be perfect if this product had a more flowery, more girl like scent.
