5-Inch Cotton Blend Twill Shorts

I've been on the hunt for 'modest' non-jean shorts with about a 5" inseam that doesn't look super frumpy on me or make me look disproportionate. I'm 5'0" and athletically built. I ordered a 0P in the gray and they fit great (depending on brand, I'm typically a size 3 in juniors, 25/26" or 0 in bottoms). Sometimes petite sizing tends to run a little more snug on me, but this one fit great where it was loose enough that it wasn't creating a muffin top when standing or sitting. The inseam gives me a little more modest leg coverage, but shows enough leg that it doesn't make me look stocky. The fabric is pretty thick but I don't feel like I'll be dying in them when it's 90+ degrees outside. Feels like a good work short - if you're looking for one, say for a summer job outside. One negative is that the pockets don't sit flush to the body when standing and pop out when sitting. But I also have that issue with some dress slacks when you have these types of pockets. Minor issue even though the lining can be seen - it's a cute, gray striped lining on the inside of the gray shorts. It was a little more than I wanted to pay for shorts, but the quality, fit and comfort is spot on, so it'll be a keeper.

I've been buying these shorts for years and they've cheapened the waist hook system. There used to be two hooks or 3 hooks at the waist which made the zipper lay flat. These shorts are not tight at all but the shorts look old and cheap because the zipper is crooked. Please go back to a least a two hook design.

I love these shorts, BUT, they were too tight for me. I ordered in a 16 although I I wear a 16W in Kut from the Kloth jeans. They are so cute and the length is so right (not too short) that I am considering keeping as a "goal short"; something to fit into when I loose enough weight to fit into. These shorts are THAT cute; the color looks great on any skin type and the length just right.
