Corduroy Skirt

After not being able to view this online, I went to my local Nordstrom to see if they had this skirt. They did. I grabbed a couple colors and went to try it on. I found that I had to go up a size in this skirt - it was just a little too tight (and short) in my usual size. It is shorter than I usually wear, but not so short that this 40-something woman can't get away with it. I think I'll pair it with tights, not the bare legs as shown, but if that works for you - go for it. The corduroy is soft to the touch - in fact, I was pleasantly surprised at this. I waffled over what colors to get and in the end decided on both grey and the pumpkin color. I think this is going to be a great skirt which I'll be wearing often this fall.

I ordered my regular size but was unsure if it would fit well based on reviews (some said the skirt runs small, some said large...which was it?!), so I ordered a size up as well. My regular size did fit best: it fell just below my waist and hit a few inches above my knee. The next size up fit simiarly at at the just-below-the-waistline, so the waistband difference was negligible. However, I noticed a difference in how it fit around my hips. The bigger size had a boxy look while the regular size was fitted but not too tight. As for length, this skirt does fall a little short for work, but with tights and winter just around the corner, that is easily remedied.

Perfect for our warm fall season. The fabric is very light weight and soft. Please be warned it runs very large and is rather short. It needs cute flats and would also be perfect with tights later in the season. I got the blue ceramic and dark camel. The blue is gorgeous and the camel is not that dark and a great neutral. I am 5 feet tall and weigh 100 pounds. I got the regular 0 for extra length - not much!

I needed a grey corduroy skirt this season and jumped on buying this as I wasn't sure I'd find anything else at a decent price. This skirt is cute but I just don't like the way it fits. The corduroy is relaxed and so it bunches up on my tights when I wear it so I constantly have to adjust it. The waist doesn't sit at a point that flatters me either. I have no success in ironing it and so it always looks wrinkly. Not a wise purchase on my part.

love this skirt. perfect to wear with tights and boots, or light enough also to wear in the spring/summer time.

I really like this skirt.. It is perfect to wear with boots. I find at times it tends to 'stick' to my tights and I have to smooth it out/pull it down. (I need to find tights that have a smoother texture) The material is a bit thin for a corduroy. People have asked me if this skirt is a velvet material... That is how fine the corduroy is. I felt the sizing was perfect!
