Brielle Water Resistant Bootie (Women)

I ordered these because I love ankle booties and chelsea boots don't work for me. I was nervous because there weren't any reviews... but I loved the style and decided to give it a try. They just arrived and I am so glad I bought them (though I haven't worn them outside yet). The leather is soft and I also like the boot's sole - they aren't noisy and I think I'll be fine in wet or snowy weather. There are two zippers, one on each side - however, only the arch-side zipper is functional. I was looking for a nice and flat leather bootie that I could walk a lot in and also wear to work to easily elevate my covid casual dress. These are absolutely what I was looking for. They fit perfectly with one pair of socks (I am normally a 10 and ordered a 10).

Really wanted to like these! The leather was nice, and the boot is a slender cut. It was a versatile boot to wear with many different outfits, appropriate for work and casual wear. Sadly, that's where the positives end for me. I wore them no more than three times, and the narrow cut of the heel causes painful blisters to form. There is also something wrong with the heel placement - after walking around them for a couple of hours, it felt like nails were digging into my heels. The insole cushioning was really insufficient! If you're buying these, size up half a size and add your own insoles. Sadly I could not stand them and had to get rid of them. Five stars though for Nordstrom's customer service.
