Cashmere & Palo Santo — Eau de Parfum

This was my very first blind buy fragrance purchase. I trusted SA T.Wallace when she recommended it as a safe blind buy. She was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! This smells HEAVENLY! I have worn Cashmere Mist on an off since my early 20’s and this will now be added in my fragrance rotation!

I don't even know how to describe it! It is amazing...it is very sweet, but it is also sultry! I LOVE Cashmere mist, but this is like the evolution of Cashmere Mist. They are not similar, this is the next chapter! It is my favorite out of the four released! I say RUN...DON'T WALK AND ADD THIS TO YOUR COLLECTION!

This was an excellent blind buy. I heard it compared to Black Cashmere and Gentle Fluidity Gold, so I knew I had to try it. I can see a similarity..maybe? It has a heavy peach base note which BC and GFG do not have. My daughter walked in and asked who was wearing Baccarat Rouge which was surprising as I do not detect that similarity…maybe similar vanilla notes. I am looking forward to wearing this through the summer. It is a peachy vanilla with the addition of palo santo notes that give sophistication and wealth. Definitely a new favorite!

I read every review here, on other department stores, on Fragrantica, and even watched YouTube videos about this perfume before I bought it. The reviews were unanimous, all said it was a beautiful fragrance and a safe blind buy. Reading the description, I loved every note listed, but unfortunately, the perfume smelled nothing like it was supposed to. It is a very strong scent. I did not smell any peach or vanilla. I think a full spray would probably be way too much on your skin, it’s that cloying. I am 44 and this perfume to me would better suit an older, distinguished woman in my opinion. I picture an elegant woman wearing the finest cashmere, perhaps lunching at her country club. Her scent lingering after she’s left, giving the impression of a nice scent initially, but eventually something you can’t stand to be around. This scent is not for the faint of heart. I sprayed the perfume on a piece of paper but didn’t dare spray it on my skin, I knew it would be too strong and headache inducing. Coming back to the paper that I sprayed it on hours later, I noticed a slight similarity to the fake, super sweet smell that Prada Candy emits- the kind of sickly sweet that literally sticks to you, your clothes, your hair, and you can’t get rid of for days. Definitely not reminiscent of quality ingredients. What a let down.
