Canali wool dress trousers are my current favorite - expensive but worth it. These trousers are made from a very lightweight fabric that works very well in the warmer months. Excellent fit, drape and construction. The recommended equivalent sizing in converting from U.S. sizes is accurate as long as you are comparing to sizing for dress trousers. For example, I wear a size 35 to 36 in most brands of dress trousers (e.g., Ted Baker, Hugo Boss), which translate nicely to a size 52 in these Canali slacks. In contrast, you will get to the wrong answer if you base the size conversion on your comparable size in jeans, chinos or even some brands of cotton dress slacks where my size often runs as low as 32 or smaller.

And I’ve owned a lot. I now own these in five different colors, tan, brown, grey, blue, and black. They’re practically wrinkle free, they’re sturdy yet thin, and I’ve gotten many compliments in them. I’ve had my pairs tapered through Nordstrom’s alterations and they look incredible afterward. I don’t even consider alternatives anymore, and I hope these continue to be available for years to come. Don’t waste your money on cheap alternatives, spend the extra money on these and you’ll be thanking yourself time and again afterward.
