Great coat but not for extreme cold
I love this coat and use it on chillier fall days and milder winter days, but if you live in a colder climate (like Chicago) this will NOT be enough for the dead of winter. I'd say this coat is only good until maybe 20 degrees. It's a cute and flattering fit, and the longer length is functional, warm and also stylish. The ribbed sleeves by your wrists help to lock in warmth, too. The price point may make this more attractive as a winter coat than a more expensive Canada Goose style like the Shelburne, but trust me that if you need a true winter jacket you should invest in a warmer style - I have both, and if I had to pick one, would pick the warmer style. Love this coat, though! Can't go wrong with Canada Goose.

Not worthy if in colder climate.
Lightweight and not warm enough for Fall in Chicago. I wanted this to work, as I wanted a jacket nice and warm enough for Spring and Fall seasons, but this was worse than wearing my cashmere cardigan over a top. The jacket may be nice for other cities/states less cold than Chicago, but for me in Chi, it didn't bode well.

Great Jacket
It's a wonderful jacket and very warm. I have been eyeing this jacket for a while but really disliked the shiny finish on last season's jackets. I'm glad they came out with a matte finish. I normally wear a size S in clothing so got a size M in this jacket. It fits perfect and doesn't look bulky but I'll still easily be able to wear a sweater underneath. I like the cut, hugs the body and gives you some shape. Overall, looking forward to using it in the coming months.

Perfect coat
Love this. Not too puffy. I did order a size up based on my other Canada Goose coat fit. Beautifully constructed definitely an investment but worth it.

Nice style and warm, found sizing hard
I purchased this coat a month ago and left the tags on. I just couldn't decide on the size. I had ordered a size up. I'm 5'3" 122 lbs. I have bigger hips (38-39") and a smaller top (32-33"), so I was worried about the small being too tight on the bottom. The Canada Goose website has a 38-39" hip as a small on their fit guide. The model on another website I found is wearing a small, and her hips were 34". I was super confused. I tried to wait and see if a small came into stock in the elderberry but it just never did, so I never got a chance to try it. I finally removed the tags and started wearing my medium. So far so good. It's definitely warm. The sleeves fit great and the cuffs really help keep the warmth in. The underarms are pretty snug, so the small may have been a little too tight there, but again, I didn't get a chance to try it. I used to get makeup rub off on the collar area of my old coat, it doesn't happen on this one. The zipper does get sticky when I first try to zip it but it doesn't bother me. The length is nice but it doesn't really keep my thighs a whole lot warmer than my shorter coat, but since I went up a size it's probably not as snug as it's meant to be. I don't layer a ton, but it fit nicely with a sweater underneath. My old coat use to lose it's down all over the back of my sweaters, this one says that it should not lose them. Overall the coat looks very nice on, is easy to wear when driving (you can use the reverse zip), feels very warm (although I haven't worn it in freezing temps, been in the 30s here), and it's machine washable which is great. I'm still torn on the price. It's expensive, but if I make it last a few years, which hopefully it should if it's made as well as they say it is, it should pay for itself. :)

Nice lightweight winter jacket
I had an older version of this jacket (two years or so) that was great...until I washed it. I followed the directions on the label but it came out with an awful, musty smell. The company wouldn't help me but thank goodness Nordstrom stands behind their products! I was able to return it and get this new version. ($50 more unfortunately.) Anyway, I really like the matte fabric. I do think it might be slightly lighter weight than my old one. I'd say it's great for temps in the 40s but once it gets down in the 30s it's not quite warm enough (unless one does some serious layering underneath). The small has plenty of room for layering for me (5'2", 120). I wonder if the XS would feel warmer with a tighter fit.
