MIL 1978 Leather Loafer (Women)

I wear a size 7 but in Camper that usually equates to a 38, which is what I ordered. They look very cute in the natural white color, like puffy marshmallow shoes, and they felt good on the foot. Unfortunately, the front is quite wide, and the sole is even wider, meaning they look very spread out and make my feet look much longer and wider than usual. In the pale color this was very noticeable; maybe it wouldn't be so bad in black. But what worried me is that because the sole sticks out a good 1/4" all around, the extra sole sticking out in front would be a trip hazard, and would probably also get quite scuffed (on the white at least) easily, and soon. So I am going to return them. I do love Camper because they favor the square-footed among us, but this shoe didn't do it. Sad, because I'd been dithering over them since their initial release!
