Trunk Vanity Travel Case

I think I may have over expected on this one! The case is very soft instead of hard sided as I would expect a suitcase to be... it is a very nice size ..however looks and feels very cheap IMO and not worthy of gift giving. The handle is actually off-center which I did not notice in the photos. I will be returning both cases and looking for some that don’t appear plasticky.

I wanted to love this but it just wasn’t right for me. I’ve been looking for a hard side vanity case and thought since I loved the Calpak hat box so much old love this, too. However, the case was too flimsy and I was afraid it wouldn’t hold up during car or carry-on travel. I also decided I want a flip-top case, not one that opens down the middle like this. When you open this one up it lays flat, meaning all the bottles inside are flat and it made me worried about spills. I returned it.

I LOVE my new vanity case. I also have the Calpak TRNK set and this matched perfectly with it! Aside from looking cute the case is utilitarian! It is a hard shell so nothing will get smashed in travel but it also has so much room so things that I used to store separately from my makeup (like toiletries) all fit in here. Very happy with my purchase !

This thing is really flimsy and cheap looking. I have several other Calpak items that are very well made, so I had high hopes. The travel pieces that are made of plastic seem to be of lesser quality, based on my ordering experience. I understand that one wants luggage to be lightweight, but I have the feeling this would get destroyed after several trips and would not withstand any kind of abuse. Stick to the nylon luggage and accessories from Calpak, they hold up over time and are more versatile. This “vanity case” is getting returned!

If you treat your skincare like your baby and are always packing and repacking - definitely worth the purchase. I bought and I use everytime I’m out overnight- one night or two weeks. Everything is much more organized than a regular bag you would throw in your suitcase- but if you have anxiety about those products in a bag within another bag- I would buy this. I bought the black for 40 though at Nordstrom, put on wishlist and wait it out- it’s worth it. It’s light, not cheap FYI. It’s convenient and very easy to travel with. Tuck under seat on plane or put in car- either way, you know your products arnt tossing everywhere and are upright.

Extremely disappointed. The quality of this product sold by Nordstrom is very poor. The exterior feels like cheap plastic that can crack or bend easily. The fabric in the interior is super cheap. Almost paper like that is just waiting to tear. Like I am surprised at how cheap this product is overall.
