What it is: A unisex eau de parfum that is an evocation of memory and desire from a male perspective.
Fragrance story: A top note of opoponax, or sweet myrrh, provides an immediate, honeyed and smoky sensuality in a rich, intoxicating amber signature. A heart of labdanum reinforces and encourages the scent to stay true with a creamy softness, while geranium provides a sparkling freshness. Swathing all is a veil of violet, a magical note that provides a universal balance. A base of vanilla and patchouli anchors the scent, utilizing the universal sweet appeal of vanilla against the mysterious compulsion of patchouli, the known and unknown, the light and dark together.

Favorite Byredo!
I didn’t “get it” at first because all I smelled was the sweet notes on the first two tries. The third time I wore it, I realized I had to have it! It’s long last and becomes more sensuous as the hours go by. I catch a lovely whiff on my clothes too. I am not a lover of unisex fragrances but this one seems more feminine to me.

If you like Oldspice
This perfume is literally Old Spice, but for $200. If you like that smell you should go buy Old Spice for like $7.

Lovely, but not on me
I really love this, but sadly it doesn’t work for me, but on other people it is fantastic. It gets a little sweet smelling and cloying on my skin, it must be the vanilla. If it stayed like the initial spray, I’d be very happy, but like all byredo perfumes the scent evolves and it lasts.
Beautiful bottle, I would recommend trying a sample before buying the full bottle, this is however a quality perfume, just sadly not on me.

Never smelt anything similar
Immediate nostalgia for me - not sure why. I sprayed some on before bed to try and figure it out and when I woke up I could still smell it on my clothes. Dr. Pepper notes- black licorice, cherry incense, a herbal quality, and just a touch of vanilla in the background.
Now the feeling: The ambiance of a 1950s night club in New York. It’s a cold night and it’s starting to rain. You check your coat at the door and warm up with a cherry martini. Dim lighting, candles and incense burning. A well-dressed man puts down his cognac to start conversation and ask you to dance.
Truly unisex and elegant, ideal for events or date nights. Comes alive in the cooler weather, though I’ve been trying it out on summer days and it still works. I love this.

One of my favourite Byredo fragrances that ensures you receive compliments while wearing. This long-lasting scent has sweet, spicy and woody notes ideal for those who enjoy a sweeter yet complex fragrance. Great addition to my fragrance wardrobe and perfect of the autumn/winter season.

Surprising
Romantic, intimate, and somewhat addictive, this scent, while reminiscent of a medicinal tone, is still worth experiencing.
