BYREDO
After traveling to his mother's hometown in India, BYREDO founder Ben Gorham became intrigued by scent and memory. Mentored by world-renowned perfumers, he started his line of luxury fragrances in Stockholm in 2006, focusing on raw, high-quality ingredients. Today, BYREDO candles, perfumes and more are known as much for their minimalist, stylistic packaging as they are for their irresistible scents.

Pulp (Non)Fiction
Byredo’s Pulp is a fantastical fig potion in a bottle. Juicy fig notes reminiscent of Diptyque’s Philosykos dominate the initial scentscape. Pulp delightfully stays away from the predictable fig-coconut pairing, A subtly sweet but not cloying drydown avoids a cliched ending. Perfect for a gentleman in a crisp, dapper suit or for that laid-back beachcomber always in search for the perfect pina colada...
Special thanks to the highly commendable Christian D. at the Byredo counter of Nordstrom at Westfield Santa Anita for re-introducing me to this spectacular fragrance line.

Fresh, Clean Sent
A Beautiful, fresh, clean sent. If applied lightly it does not have the overpowering alcohol smell that can make some perfumes smell cheap. I cringe and get watery eyes whenever someone walks by and they smell ridiculously strong. That's not the case with this sent. Parfums de Marly also makes light, amazingly good perfumes.

Unique not universally likable
Pulp is definitely a "hate it, or love it" kind of scent. For me, it's pleasant and unique when you first spray it on, but I dislike the drydown. It smells a bit like overripe, well, fruit pulp.

Fresh Berries and cream
I wasn’t sure about this scent at first. I tried it and walked around. I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist. I typically love warm and sweet scents. I own two other byredo - 11th hour and gypsy water. This scent is very different. It’s very feminine but bit overly sweet. It smells like blackberries or raspberries with whipped cream. It’s a very sophisticated scent. I do get a slight fig similar to diptique as the previous review mentioned. A beautiful light scent.

not my cup of tea!
I ordered this one based on the reviews and it was horrible!
I can only smell a strong fig and eucalyptus mixed with green herbs!
This is the only way I can describe it.
I returned it as soon as I got it on the mail. I really don’t get who can like this perfume! I’ll stick to my Delina and Meliora by Parfums de Marly! Excellent high end fragrances with an amazing lasting power!
