Fragrance story: Drawing on the BYREDO philosophy of translating fragmented memories and abstract ideas into scent, Mixed Emotions presents an olfactive sketch of our current, collective state of mind. Comforting notes of maté and the sharp sweetness of cassis sit within a wooden framework; the reassuring scent of black tea disturbed by violet leaf synthetics.

Tea goodness
Initially smells like woodsy berries-I can imagine it’s the currant. The dry down smells of almost cozy warm tea. Really wearable scent. Leans on the feminine side in my opinion. Definitely one of my favorite all time Byredo scents now!

Smoke Meat
I received a sample of this when I ordered another Byredo scent from their boutique and once I sprayed it, to me first thing came to mind is smoke meat. I like unusual smell, loved Pulp but I don’t want to smell like smoked meat.

Smoke Meat
I received a sample of this when I ordered another Byredo scent from their boutique and once I sprayed it, to me first thing came to mind is smoke meat. I like unusual smell, loved Pulp but I don’t want to smell like smoked meat.

Smells like Vicks and cough drops
I’m usually a huge fan of Byredo but this one missed the mark. I like the berry note in this but there’s a strong menthol note that makes it smell like a berry cough drop. Then after an hour the berry note fades and it just smells like vicks! I’m in my 20’s but wearing this makes me feel like a senior citizen getting over a cold :/

IF YOU WANT TO SMELL LIKE A OPEN PIT BARBEQUE
Received as a sample with another fragrance purchase from Byredo. Smells like your cloths would, if you sat all night in front of an open pit fire/ bonfire/ open flame barbecue. An almost smokey meaty nauseating after smell...not at all in a good way. A hard long no way pass on this one!

AMAZING my favorite scent of all time
This scent is incredible. It's not overpowering, but it lasts. Initially it's fairly woody, but then it settles to a very fresh and slightly sweet base. Such a comforting scent.

Mixed what!!!!
I am the usual Chanel, Valentino, Guerlain perfume type of person. Received a sample of this as part of a “free gift with purchase”. When I sprayed it the first time, it was pure heaven to me. I couldn’t believe I would like this fragrance, but I was definitely sold as a customer. Initially it seems a little strong, but once it dries and melds with your body, it lasts all day. Whenever I wear it, I receive lots of compliments on how amazing I smell. Definitely worth it.
