What it is: A floral eau de parfum that opens with an elegant burst of rose petals and pink freesia.
Fragrance story: To celebrate the beginning spring, nature's perennial and powerful rebirth, perfumer Ben Gorham designed a floral scent that would capture the strength and beauty of wild garden blossoms just as they reach their dramatic peak. The result, the wonderfully entitled Inflorescence, is an arcadian stroll through untamed bowers of full-blown, rambling roses, interspersed by the intoxicating, honeyed notes of pink freesias in their prime. Two of spring's very first flowers lie at the heart. The creamy-soft allure of the magnolia blossom, its petals fully open about to drop onto beds of quivering lily of the valley, or may bells in the language of flowers, symbolic of a return to happiness and the joy associated with the onset of spring. Finally and most unusually, Ben Gorham has used jasmine at the base. Again luxuriant and overgrown, a veritable riot of fresh sweetness that supports the structure and furnishes a heady close.

one of my all time favorites
I don't normally like floral perfumes, especially white florals- too often, they smell like something an older person might wear. I first discovered this scent while I was shopping a few years ago, and I fell in love immediately. I tried out a spritz in the store because I wanted to see how it wore on me, so after I left the store and ran errands, I kept sniffing my wrist throughout the day. Scent and memory are strongly linked, and the weather that day was cool and rainy, so I'll forever associate this scent with rainy days. If you love freesia like I do, this you will love this scent. It opens with a strong freesia note, which persists as you wear it. It dries down to a sweet citrusy (almost like a meyer lemon), white floral that isn't treacly or powdery- this is not your grandma's floral perfume, it is a light, luxurious fragrance that invites those around the wearer to lean in closer to drink in the scent. I had intended to buy a smaller bottle, but since the larger one was the only size available, I happily chose that instead. I wish it came in a travel size so I could bring it with my on my travels- this one will definitely be one of my all time favorite scents.

Does not smell good
I love Byredo scents. They are blended really well and they are never too heavy. This one, though, is a green and sour smell. It’s gross. Smells like old flower water from a vase.

Doesn’t last
I fell in love with the scent of this perfume, however, it doesn’t last. I’d say I sprayed it on my pressure points, neck, and hair but the scent faded within minutes! It’s disappointing because for the price I had really high expectations. Had to return it.

Clean and crispy
Beautiful scent from Byredo, one that is not that overhyped nor super popular. Parfum full of cleanness. Do not expect this one to have strong sillage or to last all day, but expect crystal clear parfum, like you have just steped out iof shower. I can smell significantly Lily of the Valley and fressias. Scent is barely sweet but with hand full of white flowers and cleqn citruses.

A Byredo hidden gem
Inflorescence is hands down one of Byredo’s most underrated scents. It’s light, fresh, and floral but not in an old-school way. You get beautiful florals but it still feels modern and clean, not heavy or powdery.
I picked this up when I wanted to try something beyond the usual Gypsy Water or Mojave Ghost, and it’s become a new favourite. Easy to wear and perfect for everyday or when you just want to feel fresh and put-together. Definitely one to try if you’re looking for something different in the Byredo range.
