Eyeshadow

The packaging is definitely eye-catching, and the eyeshadows themselves are really lovely and wearable for daily looks. Upon first glance, the colors are odd, but they're quite neutral and work together in any combination. My favorite color in this palette is the sparkly green. It's much less green on the eye than it appears in the pan - it's like a mysterious green-grey-brown that occasionally sparkles when you're not expecting it. The brown also has sparkles, but it looks almost satin/matte when sheered out enough. The colors are all sheer and buildable though, so if you're into high impact and high pigment, this isn't it. The formula is also on the stiffer, grittier side, (which is great for sheer watercolor-like layers), which might bother people who like the soft creamy powder textures of other brands' palettes. The swatches are single firm finger-swipes on bare skin, and it's rather difficult to capture the sparkles from the green and brown in a photo for some reason.

I thought about buying this for so so long and held off because it is so expensive but I eventually decided to treat myself and order it. I am so sad and disappointed. the eyeshadow is barely useable: the colours are beautiful when they're in the pallet but the shadows are dry and don't come off onto a finger or brush - its difficult to describe but it just doesn't work. the eyeshadows are dry and packed into the compartments in such a way that you can barely use them.
