Bibliotheque Candle

A fun, fruity scent that reminds me more of berries than of a library - I don’t get much of the musk, wood, or other darker notes that I’d assume would be in here or in other library scents, but it’s still a lovely scent! The jar is beautiful and study. Looking forward to trying other scents from this brand.

I do love this candle. The scent is wonderful, however, I’m not sure I get all the nuances it claims. It burns slowly and evenly. It can quickly fill a small space with scent but it’s not up to a large room. It definitely puts out more scent after the first burn. I’m interested in exploring more of Byredo’s candles and scents.

I was so excited to send this Bibliotheque candle to my bougie daughter who LOVES scents and special things, thinking this was the perfect gift! WRONG! I was crushed to hear her report. She told me she burned the candle for several hours but could only smell it after getting close to it, and while it had a pleasant smell, it was very faint, not strong, very subtle. (Maybe it was an old candle) She appreciated my efforts, but....this was pricey for me (fixed income) and I will not make THAT mistake again!

Let me start by saying I love Byredo. I've had the worst customer experience from both the product company and Nordstrom in regards to an uneven burn. The wick is burning extremely close to the glass. I've asked for assistance from both companies. Byredo will not stand by their product since it wasn't purchased from them. Nordstrom will do nothing but refund the person who purchased it. (I got this as a gift for Christmas). Extremely disappointed with this particular product and the customer experience from both Nordstrom and Byredo. I worry that the flame will heat the glass and ultimately shatter the glass.
