Found my lip's true love!
I live and play in the Rocky Mountains. I have tried endlessly to find a lip product that protected, lasted, revived my lips and was just the right amount of gloss to wear anytime. Terry Baume de Rose is heaven. Worth every penny. A little goes a long way and it lasts for hours. It goes in my pocket when I downhill ski and it is in my handbag when I am going out for the evening. Absolute lip must!!

Over-Hyped Lip Balm, Disappointed :(
I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is lip balm so hyped. I consider myself a lip balm junkie, and this has been on my radar for years. I finally got a chance to try it in the SPACE.NK "favorites" set, which was an incredible deal because it came with about 8 products for $99 and this full size lip balm was included.
It has a sort of waxy texture and a wonderful light rose sent. It's appearance on the lips isn't matte, but it's definitely not glossy like some other balms. I'm not a fan of pot balms, and hate putting my fingers in them. The deep and narrow design of this post is even more difficult, especially as it runs out. You want to get every last bit of this pricey balm, but it is difficult. But the most disappointing thing about this balm is it doesn't really work. In fact, I think it makes my lips MORE dry. It's great for about an hour, and then my lips are really dry around the edges and I need to apply more.
A much better rose balm is the one by Dior. It actually mirrors this balm in may ways (texture/light rose scent) but it has the added appeal of a shallow flat pot you can get your fingers into, and it works much better. I rarely have to re-apply it. Another contender would be the Fresh Sugar Rose balm in the flat pot. And if you want super hydration, with a bit of shine, check out Jo Malone's Vitamin E lip balm. It's in a tube, easier to apply, and keeps your lips super hydrated! It's my summertime go-to.

Not Worth the $$$
I really wanted to love it however it wasn't as great for me as it seems to be for everyone else. Like many people I'm a lip balm junkie and I will try anything from drugstore to luxury. My lips are not sensitive. It wasn't damaging, but it didn't do anything either, for the most part it just sat on my lips, at some moments I even found it slightly drying. Deductions of stars based on product performance and price. I gave it a good go for a couple of weeks, and returned it. Thanks Nordstroms for easy purchase and easy returns. I don't like returning things, but love the no hassle return policy. For me, Sisley's formulation is significantly better, and unfortunately even more expensive. A little however goes a long way. For those who aren't into luxury brands, try Badger brand lip products for a few dollars... always have those in my car for quick and easy application.

By Terry Rose Lip Balm: Can Do Better
Pros: Light waxy texture, low gloss, rose scent, slight taste, soothing. Cons: No hygienic delivery on the go, must use finger. Ridiculously overpriced for the small amount. Contains four paraben preservatives, which I try to avoid. Im happy with Lauder Lip Conditioner, a colorless waxy lipstick in a case, Trish McEvoy lip balm in tube (good at night) and CO Bigelow Rose Salve Lip Balm Trio, 3 for $15, all paraben free and a better buy.

Terrible Product
I had high hopes for this product. I had heard so many positive reviews on YouTube. The first time I tried it, it burned my lips. I did try it again to make sure that this wasn't a one time thing and it burned my lips again. It also just felt as if it was sitting on top of my lips and it didn't sink in. My lips didn't feel any smoother after using it. Thank goodness for Nordstrom's wonderful return policy. This is not worth the price and my $5 lip balm from Soap & Glory puts this one to shame.

Does not compare to La Mer
Really wanted to love this as I am a sucker for the rose scent but unfortunately I find myself not loving this lip balm as much La Mer. It somehow makes my pigmented lips look pale so I tried to use it as a night treatment instead. The next morning it just sits on my lips like a glob of grease. If I use it as a base and layer it with lipstick, it still doesn't help my lips from drying and peeling. This does not happen when I use La Mer so I am very disappointed to have wasted money on this lip balm.
