Butt Enhancing Lifting Shorts

I have SKIMS shapewear shorts that are my “go to” anytime I am in a dress. They are comfortable and never fail me. Ladies, measurements are important and helpful factors for customers reading your reviews and I wish more would incorporate these HELPFUL details. I am 5’8 and 127 lbs, 34 DD/size 26 . I don’t have a KKardashian butt, but it’s also not too small either. I got these in a size SMALL (same size I had previously bought of SKIMS shapewear) but was horrified when I view my backside in these shorts. They were definitely not enhancing my a$$et. I had to pull them up an work with them, to manipulate “enhancing” my butt. Honestly, these didn’t do anything for me, but make me look worse in the dress. However, the bands on the thighs were not not showing any signs of slipping/riding up or moving, but these were just not working for me, or maybe Not proportional for my frame. The waist area was huge and wrinkly/too saggy and not compressing and the thigh area was too tight and showed a line on my body-con dress. Totally defeating the purpose of shapewear when you think you would actually look better without it. I do not know if my proportions were just not working for this particular style shapewear or what, but I will be returning and continue the hunt!

I just want to preface this by saying that I returned 13 shapewear shorts last year, trying to find a style that was comfortable & flattering with the support that I needed. I was skeptical to buy these because of the mixed reviews but finally decided to give them a try & I am so happy that I did! I am typically a L in SKIM and these were true to size. The material feels wonderful, easy to breathe in, did not roll down, and most importantly - did not give me back fat! I truly think that finding shapewear that flatters your body type is all trial and error. I will however say, I have had nothing but positive reviews for each SKIMS product that I’ve tried so far.

These are the only shapewear bottoms I’ll even consider wearing and have bought multiple pairs because I am obsessed with them. They aren’t great for waist compression, but they give such an amazing lift and shape to the butt! Legitimately give me the look of a BBL. I have an hourglass shape, and really appreciate the lift and smoothing (hip dips, cellulite) these provide when wearing a bodycon dress. Especially because they still allow some jiggle while walking, so it’s not a dead giveaway that you’re wearing shapewear. There is a trick to wearing them, as you have to adjust the shorts on the thigh, and the graduated shaping of each “cheek” to target compression and get lift where you need it. I’m 5’3” (36”-27”-41”) with a short-waist, and bought a size small. My waist could fit an XS, but the thighs would dig in (20” thigh). The waist never rolls on me - which was surprising being as short waisted as I am - and the thighs always stay in place for me as well. The waist compression, again, isn’t strong - but the garment is really about the butt shaping. The material is buttery soft, unlike any of the the strong & medium support shapewear from Skims.

These do enhance your butt. Gives it a little lift. It doesn’t feel like second skin though. I wore these with fitted pants that are cotton/linen blend and it did feel like I had on two layers of clothes. Not the best idea in warm weather. But it does do what it says. I would size up as well to avoid roll down.

I am obsessed with these shorts! I am going to order more for sure! These make me actually look like I have a butt! Trust me ladies, I have no butt before. If you are on the fence, I say give them a try! You do have to work with them, make sure to adjust the thigh compression area to give your butt that lift & give you the full shape. Does it look like a big Kim K butt? No, but it definitely gives me more curves than I had & I feel so much more confident now. Only downside for me is, I find that it does roll down a little at the waist. So, I am giving 4 stars for that bc it really should tay up. Other than that, I love it & will continue to wear with all my fitted outfits!
