Kensington Taffeta Trench Coat with Detachable Hood

This coat looks great on the pictures like most items do. However, it is not lined or partially lined as the description says. It has a little piece of lining at the top of the shoulders only and that is not partially lined. A lined piece means high quality vs a non lined piece is cheaply made. When it comes to sizing, these Burberry pieces are very tricky to fit. I am a 00 to 2 and I ordered 3 different sizes (0, 2, and 4) and 3 different styles because most of the photos do not show if the piece is lined or if the piece is totally lined and I do not trust the Nordstrom description because it is mostly wrong for the most part. Sizes 0, 2, and 4 are not going to fit or be comfortable and I am unable to layer it with a ticker sweater, also it is tight on the shoulders and this means the garment will reap soon on that area plus is very uncomfortable.

Kensington is classic style. While I’m size 4 with everything, Burberry classic style I’m always size 6. It goes with this jacket as well. I have another Burberry classic trench coat with lining - purchased years ago in size 6. It’s the exact same cut/style without lining. I don’t think I want full lining in this style since it supposed to be for rainy weather. It’s very light but has great sturdy structure. If you go with other styles in Burberry, like Brit trench coats, the sizing is more 1:1. My Brit coat is size 4.

I do very much love this trench coat. I'm 5'2'" so it needs to be altered. I'll bring it to the Nordstrom store to have it altered. I was a little disappointed that the inside label doesn't look like traditional Burberry label. But overall, I do love this jacket. It looks absolutely beautiful on. I look forward to rainy days.
