Took this to Thailand and it WORKS!
The first PM in Bangkok I used this and my husband didn’t, he got over 100 bites and I got 0! That said, it will melt if you take it to the beach so I just used it in the AM before and then again at PM, I literally, got 1 bite the entire trip! My husband on the other hand, looked like he had chicken pox and his feet and legs were swollen the entire trip. Loved the smell and feel on my skin.

Totally ineffective
I wanted to love this product because of the sales pitch—but unfortunately it turned out to be yet another Instagram gimmick. It is essentially a deodorant style bar of citronella. The packaging makes it difficult to use, it has a sticky feeling when applied, and you’ll just smell like a bug repellent candle. On top of that it was utterly useless against summer mosquitoes, I wore it while gardening and ended up covered in bites. Save your money.

Not travel friendly. Very disappointing
I brought this bug balm on a hike in my backpack. It was 90 degrees outside and I kept the balm in my backpack for the 6 hours or so while I was hiking. Later that evening when I went to use the balm before going out for dinner, I found that the balm had melted and oozed out of the container and was unusable. Does not do well in heat, I guess - but that's when I usually find myself needing an insect repellent, so this is a do not recommend from me. Waste of money.

Does not work
Unfortunately this product simply does not work at repelling mosquito bites. I put it on the front and backs of my arms before going for a walk and had many bites on both arms immediately.

Smells good but
It does not keep gnats away, the gnats are extremely aggressive here in the Maryland/DC Metro area. Mosquitoes haven’t ramped up too much yet so I’m hopeful once they start it will be effective.
Also, in the heat it melted all over the place; I now keep it in a baggie but wish I had thought about that before leaving it in my car while I was walking.
I’m not sure where the people live that are saying it is an effective product in March but here there are no gnats or even mosquitoes in March.
