Brushed Plaid Coat

I bought this coat thinking it would be my new fall staple. I had a couple of ideas how I would wear it and with what outfits. I noticed after the second wear it was piling. Not just where my bag touched the edge but also on the underside of the arms just from normal walking and the coat slightly rubbing against the body of the fabric. By the fourth wear the fabric was balling up everywhere. It looked horrible and I even bought a fabric shaver to see if it would help. No luck. Just really disappointed since many of us have had to tighten our budgets a bit these days. I wasn't looking for a one and done coat. I was so frustrated looking at it that it is now gone from my closet.

I like this coat, and gave it 5 stars, but it’s not for me. It’s well made. It’s super soft. It just swallows me. I look like I am all “plaid grandma coat” when I wear it. I ended up going for the Isabel Marant plaid bomber jacket instead. I grabbed a medium at the NSale for my 5’4” 145 lb frame, but she’s headed back for someone that can support a coat like this better than I can.
