What it is: An elegant soy candle, hand-poured into an inky-black matte glass vessel, that fills any room in your home with scent.
Fragrance story: Notes of hinoki cypress, woods, and cedar leaf dance above a heart of orris, redwood bark and cardamom grounded by base of sandalwood. Woodsy, deep and calming, Hinoki Noir smells like a stroll in Kyoto after the rain.
Style: Woody and aromatic.

LOVE,LOVE, LOVE
This candle led me to buy more of this Company (Brooklyn Candle Studio) I LOVE THEM!!! I also should say that I have an obsession with candles so when I saw these on sale I jumped to try then ended up buying more ..... If you have ever smelled the shower wash from La Lebo (Hinoki), this is the same exact scent in a candle. Wonderful!

If you're within 1-2 feet of this candle while it's burning, you might catch a subtle smell of wax. So bummed about this one. :(

so overpriced
I loved how this candle smelled at the store but when you burn it it has barely any scent to it. You’d expect a better burning experience for the price.

2nd times not a charm...
This is my second time ordering this candle (the first one in 2019 and this time around in 2020).
I loved the first one so much! It's similar to Goop's first candle. Cold, quiet, calm, fresh.
Unfortunately, this second candle doesn't seem to throw the scent at all; in fact, if i want to catch the fragrance, I must get within a 18 inches. Why, why, why?

go-to candle!
I've been buying this candle for a few years now and I'm honestly obsessed with it! The smell is very subtle and not overpowering, which is exactly what I want in a candle. Over a few hours of burning it really adds a nice smell to the room.
It smells exactly like the HInoki hand cream from Le Labo but lighter.
