Børn
For 20 years, Børn has created comfort footwear with an artful sensibility. Joining the upper, insole and sole together with a traditional hand-stitching process called Opanka, their shoes are flexible, resilient and spring back with every step. Børn styles run the gamut from artisan-inspired to trend-minded, while holding strong to old-world construction.

SO COMFY but returned
I did a comparison of the Ariat Wexford boot and the Born Cove boot, sizes 6. I REALLY, REALLY wanted to keep the Born because it was SO much more comfortable than the Ariat (esp. at the ankle opening and heel). But like some reviewers stated, it made me look like I had clown feet.
The heel on the Born was more comfortable due to it's mostly rubber construction. I think Ariat's has wood in the middle so there was noticably less shock absorption.
In comparing these two, I think the clown look on the Born one is due to the top part of the foot area slimming down much sooner than the Ariat, so it appears to lengthen the foot. Whereas Ariat's area above the foot stays wide, then gets slimmer at the start of toes. So although Ariat's boot was actually about a millimeter longer than Born's, Born's made me look like I had super long feet.
I am sad to return the Borns due to the exceptional comfort but I am choosing looks/the more polished looking style over comfort. I am giving 5 stars for the Born Cove regardless.

Well, they seemed great
So I needed a new pair of light brown Chelsea winter boots. These seemed comfy out of the box - so I headed out and before I knew it - they proved to be SOCK EATERS. UGGGHHHHHHHH. Makes me CRAZY. Wish I had figured that out before my walk, which was messy and muddy. So no returning these, sadly. Tried a taller pair of socks today - and the same thing happened. The socks migrated down around my arches. Honestly these may just get donated after two seatings. So frustrating.

Solid and comfortable book- looks good too
Bought the burgundy suede in a size 9 - my normal size. Agree with what someone else said that they make the feet look bigger. But whatever. Very comfortable out of the box. Like the tread and sold feel of the boot. Bought for A lot of walking around in a snowy, winter climate. These will work. Gave 4 stars because they do feel hefty and a bit heavy and the socks do bunch up. I just bought some calf length socks today, so hopefully they fit. I’m a plus size gal and the height works for me with skinny jeans.

Another Winner by Born
I've yet to buy anything made by Born that didn't fit and feel terrific. They once catered to what I call the granola shoe crowd. Meaning they are very comfortable but often not that attractive. They looked more like a shoe you'd have for "the great outdoors" to hike, bike and go the distance but not in a cute way. So, I'm delighted Born is making a better looking shoe but have not sacrificed comfort in order to so. Having said that, these Chelsea boots in the distressed brown are perfect for my everyday use...waterproof or not. The shaft rides about half an inch to an inch higher than most booties, getting in and out of them is easy and my usual size 8 fit with a tiny bit of room to spare. I laughed when I read another's comment about how they "ate her socks" as I had the same experience. That's easily remedied and the tiny bit of extra room in the toe box is a blessing at the end of the day when I've been moving, non-stop. Quite simply, the quality I expect with a fit that can't be beat and a nod to Born for coming up with a seriously cute bootie!!

Second Pair of Born Boots
I ordered 10 different pairs of black Chelsea boots before deciding on these from Born. I bought a similar brown pair of Born boots 5 years ago and LOVED them. I got compliments all the time and they are still so comfortable. I struggled finding a pair of black Chelsea boots that were comfortable with my bunions but weren’t too big or too heavy or too dressy/urban and not too much like farm boots either. I tried 4 different brands and multiple styles. But I ultimately came back to Born. These were the best all around boots and had almost everything I wanted in a boot. I had a hard time with sizing. My old Born boots are 6.5 M and fit great. The 6.5 in this style were way too tight. The 7 felt tight across the widest part of my foot including my bunion area. But the length and fit in the rest of the boot was great. I tried the 7.5 too. It was more comfortable across the wide part of my foot but my heel pulled up significantly when I walked. I decided it was probably too big so I went with the 7. 7 is my normal size in most shoes. The leather is soft enough I think it will stretch and conform to my foot. I wore these tonight and they didn’t hurt my feet. I think they are already beginning to stretch. I would love to pay less for them but the price is about average for this type of boot from a better brand.

Beautiful and Squeaky
I love these boots so much! These boots have a wider toe bed which helps. I always find booties to be too tight. They're beautiful!
They did arrived pretty scuffed up which is odd but i wasn't too worried since they're shoes. They're gonna get scuffed...However after two days of wearing them the right shoe started to squeak when I walk and has not let up. It's actually starting to drive me a little mad. I feel like $150 shoes shouldn't do that.
Will likely try to return them.

Sturdy boot
Nice boot. I’ve had a major foot problem and I’ve had to wear nothing but New Balance 860 sneakers with orthotics for the last three months. I was looking for a boot with a removable sole so I could put my own orthotics in. I’ve tried several. So far this is the only booth that works. Due to the large orthotics, I had to size up a size. Normally I’m a medium width. These boots seem generous in width and I am so happy to wear something other than a sneaker. They are well made and comfortable. The bottoms seem like they will hold up well for the New England winter ahead of me. Yes, I recommend them.
