Jacob LED Floor Lamp

The lamp market is a strange place. Apparently, lamps are hard to put together, which is what leads to pretty high costs, but besides the "aesthetic" and weight, Brightech isn't much better than the super cheap lamps you can get at lower-cost department stores. As other reviewers have noted, the lights shine in your face. It sucks. I put it behind something to light up a room and it's the only reason I find the item acceptable. When the package arrived there was a tear in the package, a puncture in the box, and a dent on the base of the product. As others mention, the bulbs are at a higher wattage than the product recommends and the bulbs stick out which means your eyes will get blasted with light. Quality control all around is subpar. Just because your e-commerce look and feel is good does not imply that the product is quality. Brightech is not the worst, and I appreciate the attempt at tasteful design, but their flashy marketing paired with the truly subpar execution is really a letdown. I'd go somewhere else for my lamps in the future.
