Slim Backpack

The pandemic made me unwilling to carry a shoulder bag whose handles I'd have to touch a lot when I was out and about and which I'd need to set down often. A backpack was the obvious go-to, except that most backpacks are either too outdoorsy, oriented toward travel (and thus too big for daily use), too small for all I need to carry on a daily basis (e.g. some of the cute leather ones), or too heavy (the leather ones again.) I've been carrying Tumi nylon purses for a while now because they are light, but Tumi backpacks are too big or too small--nothing intermediate. So I jumped on this Briggs and Riley, which is light weight, looks very chic/urban, and is mid-sized. I'm very happy with it. I think it looks stylish, and it leaves my hands free which was a big part of the reason for shifting to a pack for daily use. The plum color is gorgeous!
