Duxbury Croc Embossed Leather Satchel

I bought the medium Duxbury satchel in the Regatta Melbourne, croc-embossed leather. It is a beautiful light blue color, similar to a periwinkle blue, with variations in shading throughout the bag. The leather has a slight sheen to it. It looks like a much more expensive bag. The bag is 12 inches wide, 10 inches high, and the base is about 5 inches deep. There is one gold zipper across the top, which has a slight curve to it. There are 2 short straps that are 4 inches high, and one long strap that can be adjusted. You can carry the bag by the 2 short straps or as a shoulder or cross-body bag with the one long strap. There is a pretty 1 inch wide gold bag charm that hangs down from one of the gold strap loops, and the charm is oval with the Brahmin name and a sailboat engraved on it, attached with matching leather. The handbag is made of leather, although it has a crocodile texture, with a larger pattern in the center. The coloration also gets darker towards the center. The exterior of the bag is smooth on one side and has a 4 inch wide pocket on the other side. The interior of the bag is a soft, beige, velvety fabric with Brahmin printed on it. There are two 4 inch pockets on one side, 2 pen holders, and a key holder, and one long zippered pocket on the other side. The bag is very roomy and will hold a lot of things, including a mini tablet. On the bottom of the bag are 4 gold feet. The style of the bag is very pretty and classy. The Regatta Melbourne blue is a great shade for spring and summer, and will look terrific with denim clothing, and it will look good with white, navy and black. I purchased the matching Brahmin Ady wallet, and love the set! You will get many compliments with this bag!

Hi, I drove an hour an a half roundtrip to Nordstom to pick up my online purchase of a Brahmin (Tea Rose) Duxbury bag and right then & there noticed it was missing the long strap and the dust bag. There was an extremely helpful customer service person who offered to work on getting another strap, so I decided to take the bag home while waiting for that (because it was the LAST one in this color). But when I got the bag home, it soon began to smell across an entire room in my house with someone’s else’s perfume! The bag still reeks inside and out, even after four days. Dealbreaker. And I have to drive back again to return it now. So disappointing.
