V-Neck Oversize Cardigan

This cardigan checks all the boxes for me. Oversized, check! Buttons, check! Pockets, check! Cable knit pattern, check! Super soft but also heavy enough to be warm and cozy, check! But then there’s the box I didn’t want checked, the “gets itchy after a few minutes” box. I am sensitive, for sure. Cashmere and I get along so well, but I think it’s the 5% wool in this cardigan that my skin is picking up on because initially it’s perfect and soft and lovely, but after 2 minutes or so the little prickly itchy feelings start and they don’t subside. It’s not as bad as other wool sweaters I’ve dealt with with and I love everything else about this sweater so as of now I’m on the fence about keeping it. Right now it’s sitting in its return packaging waiting for me to choose. I hope this helps anyone who has similar reactions with wool! If I didn’t, I’d be wearing this sweater right now.
